Hey, cool! I have family in BG, and a friend of mine moved there to preach literally just last week.

Speaking of preaching, yesterday the sermon had started, I opened up the Bible app on my phone, and right after I opened it, the notification about Cam’ron Fletcher’s commitment popped up. Haha! Fortunately I had it on silent so no Ryan Lemond creepy laugh. lol

Oh, and as for Fletcher’s commitment, all I can say is “Fear the Apostrophe!”. Shout out to Andre’ Woodson.

      That would have been hilarious.

De’Aaron Fox has an apostrophe, and he was pretty good for us.

If we could just get more hyphenated names, football and basketball, then we would be golden.

Drew Franklin’s cat meow would have been worse I think because it seems it was louder.

BTW, I remember reading an article somewhere (I don’t remember if it was here or the LHL) entitled “Fear the Apostrophe”. I Googled it and found one post where Beisner referred to Woodson as “The Apostrophe”, but it wasn’t the one I was looking for.

Realme, that would have been a better story. I should have told it like that. πŸ™‚

Of course I have to put on my cape and mask and log in with my alter ego to do this, but here is the Beisner post:

I have been pretty much out of the loop, living in Motor Head Mania for the past 5 days, so I need to get caught up with everything Big Blue. (Not to mention, work)

I am sunburned and hobbling around like I ran a marathon this morning. All that walking around all over the fairgrounds in the heat took it out of me. Came home yesterday afternoon and immediately crashed. And of course, the convertible top decided yesterday that it was going to refuse to go back up. Glad it wasn’t raining!

What’s the name of the phenomenon when you’ve got the top down, and it rains out of a clear, blue, cloudless sky?

I heard the loudest cracks of thunder under a clear sky about a month ago. Thought maybe the world was ending.

I actually kind of agree with Matt on this issue – either let everyone drink, or eliminate it altogether. I guess I’m the outlier. πŸ˜‰

    • Realme
      10:34 am August 5, 2019 Permalink

I don’t personally think UK should keep it dry, I’m just tired of listening to Matt and Drew make it a class issue and making the same argument over and over again. It’s done for this year.

    • ClutchCargo
      10:37 am August 5, 2019 Permalink

Totally agree, Realme. There has been alcohol in the luxury suites for years now. How did it suddenly become a class issue? It just seems too much like whining at this point.

Yes, Clutch. They didn’t go, okay alcohol is now allowed, so we will give it to the luxury boxes only. They already had it. I don’t remember Matt calling the head of the SEC dishonest and saying they are discriminating against the poor because that was the league rule.

So I saw on the news where our buddy Mitch fell and broke his shoulder. I guess he didn’t retract into his hard protective shell soon enough. πŸ˜€

    • Realme

Ha! Maybe he’ll decide he’s old and retire.

    • RealCatsFan
      10:42 am August 5, 2019 Permalink

The really bad part is that turtles can live to be over 150 years old. It’s kind of like wishing for Count K to retire.

    • Realme
      10:43 am August 5, 2019 Permalink

Who leaves first? Count K or the Turtle?

    • RealCatsFan
      10:46 am August 5, 2019 Permalink

I was listening to Amy McGrath’s reply to one of Mitch’s ads. I have to say that she sounds extremely intelligent and well spoken in the ad. The sad part is that I have serious doubts that she will be able to carry the vote with the rural parts of the state. A lot of people will just look at the fact that she is not male, white and hetero and immediately write her off, no matter what she has to say.

    • J-Dub421
      10:52 am August 5, 2019 Permalink

All the so-called patriots will also overlook McGrath’s exemplary military service, even though the turtle never served.

    • Realme
      10:55 am August 5, 2019 Permalink

I don’t think anything she (or Matt, even) does matters. It’s only about keeping that title on the R side no matter what.

    • RealCatsFan
      11:13 am August 5, 2019 Permalink

The so-called patriots are also willing to overlook 45’s draft dodging for “bone spurs”, the fact that he joked about him banging college girls on campus and getting VD was more hazardous than serving in Vietnam, and the absolute disrespect he showed to a decorated war veteran who just happened to be a political opponent and had said things about him that he did not like. It simply amazes me. A true cult of personality.

    • StillBP
      11:37 am August 5, 2019 Permalink

Rcf she is supposedly hetero lol she’s married to a dude and has kids with him.

    • StillBP
      11:39 am August 5, 2019 Permalink

Sorry, I guess you meant male white and hetero all together bc she is white too. My bad.

    • Realme
      11:41 am August 5, 2019 Permalink

That was my first reading of it too, BP.

    • RealCatsFan

Sorry – that was a poor job of “profiling” by me. πŸ˜‰

    • RealCatsFan
      11:53 am August 5, 2019 Permalink

Yeah, my point was that it is tough to get someone elected who does not fit the “standard” in the minds of some segment of our population in our state. I actually do not know her sexual orientation, nor is that a concern for me. I do like what she has to say.

I think upper arena chair backs is a huge improvement for the “average fan”. I guess I don’t have any thoughts on the home schedule, I’ll probably only go to one or two games, but it’s sad to hear about someone giving up season tix.
