I like Devin Booker’s love for old cars, ’71 Caprice and ’59 Impala. Buddy of mine has a ’63 Chevy 409 just like this one; tried to buy it for years, no luck. Who you got, Mustang Cobra or Grandad’s old Chevy?

67 Mustang here…Needs some work, but I’ll get to it eventually. LOL

Had a ’86 Mustang convertible; lot of fun, but I sold it. Also sold my ’70 Roadrunner and ’63 Vette, dammit.

I love the old “bubble top” Impala’s. Of those, the 60 is my favorite model, with 59 a close second. As Bob sang,
“Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy
Out in the back seat of my ’60 Chevy
Workin’ on mysteries without any clues”.

I would love to see that 70 Roadrunner. Kid up the street had a 70 GTX – loved that car.

      My rides – 67 Camaro RS/SS 350 convertible, 69 Camaro RS/SS 396 convertible.

I can see Realme rolling her eyes at another car talk diversion. 😉

It took way longer for RCF to get drawn into this than I ever expected. 🙂

If y’all can tolerate my bird talk, I can handle your car talk. Just don’t expect me to contribute, because I got nothing. My family had this hideous poop brown gran torino when I was a kid. Is that cool, shrug emoji?

Clutch, I’m a bit distracted today. Working from home because I have the geothermal HVAC guys out there in my yard drilling holes 250 ft into the ground. If they strike oil, I’m going to make out like Jed Clampett!

Realme, if it was like the one Clint had in the movie, it was pretty cool. 🙂

I was thinking the same thing about that Gran Torino, RCF. Just being a Gran Torino makes it a little cool, at least.

IDK what year it was, but they were still driving it in the late 80’s and it was not at all shiny and cool looking like that one. Good movie (yes, I actually have seen it).

We had an Impala too but it was much lamer looking, kind of squarish.

My sister in law took my grandmother through a drive thru maybe 15 years ago, and she was mystified. Had no idea you could pull up to a restaurant and tell your order to a speaker and they hand it out the window. Wish I could tell it the way SIL did, hilarious.

Does your grandmother know about Doordash, Uber Eats, etc.? I’d love to see her finding out about that. 🙂

We lost her (at a great old age of 99) before Uber or Doordash existed, but idk if she knew about pizza delivery.

My dad passed away in the late 1980’s while I was in college. I frequently think about how mystified he would be if he could come back to see some of the stuff we have today that we couldn’t have imagined back then.

My Dad’s whole side of the family (except for preacher him) was very well off and snooty, (not in a mean way), so there were just a lot of common man things that were beneath them.

So, how does leading the SEC in assists on a bad team somehow make that stat misleading? I can see that being the leading scorer on a bad team doesn’t mean much, because somebody has to score the points on any team. But being a high assist guy is more impressive, imho.

What do his driver’s license and federal tax return say? This is really not that uncommon. Some people travel for work nearly 100% of the time and practically live in hotels. But they still have a legal address.
