I think it’s not a coincidence that Matt has a girlfriend this year and has decided not to dress like a jackass for Oaks.

      Is she his first girlfriend?

      Ha ha, probably.

I was kind of hoping he would come as the Riddler this year.

I think that is the same jacket he wore at the Breeder’s Cup in Lexington

Matt should adopt the outfit that Jim Carrey wore in The Mask.

Don’t think it’s coincidence but we are making a grand assumption that his improved sartorial choices are exclusive of still being a jackass.

^ I believe she specified “dress like.” πŸ˜‰

Stoops’ horse is not named Yahtzee? Damn.

I’ll take 2 more players AND E.J. takes a step forward, thanks.

Exactly. I don’t see why we should limit ourselves to only one good thing happening.

When is the last time we had good weather on Derby Day?

    • runningunnin.454

Hasn’t been very long; but, you got to respect the mudders though.

We have had at least 3 years in a row with rain. In fact, 8 of the last 10 Derby’s have had rain. Who had the bright idea to hold the premier racing event during the area’s rainiest month?

I have made a vow that if it ever snows on Derby (like it did in 1989) that I am moving south. So cg, get ready for a new neighbor if that happens again. πŸ˜‰

Still rather have Blackshear over McDaniels; both will be one year players, and Blackshear can bring it now.

I like that you know exactly what you will get with a done and one, vs any freshman. All things being equal, definitely take the experienced player.

Yes, Silver Charm is still alive, and he is living out his twilight years at Old Friend’s Farm in Georgetown. In fact, they were selling jars containing his, er, nuggets suspended in resin to raise money for the farm. πŸ™‚ That is a great place that takes in retired racehorses, and operates entirely on donations.

I might like to have the silks; but…..

Yeah, I would just give them some money and tell them to keep that other stuff.

Just heard the Silver Charm story on CBS radio national news; yep, it’s Friday.

Just get one of these, RCF: I saw something similar in Nashville Indiana once upon a time, but couldn’t find a link.

Sums up my opinion of the Jayhawks.

It could apply equally well to Louisville fans… Just change the name and put them in a little UofL uniform.

Or put them in front of a little computer keyboard and you have a lifelike replica of BigolBlue and a few others. πŸ™‚

My 15 year old is going to the Oaks today with her friends, and her and Mrs RCF went out shopping yesterday and came home with one of those “fascinator thingies”. I have not idea what is so fascinating about a fascinator, but it seems to be the big thing this year. πŸ˜‰

So we have a Seinfeld “ASSMAN” reference on the show?

I think Nick Richards will be better next year if Cal loosens the leash on him a little bit and gives him the chance to play through a few mistakes. One of Cal’s weak points…

I don’t see that happening. Poor Junior Nick Richards.
