Yeah, show Josh the money, he earned it. I had a good night, too…I have a new NFL team; GO SACKsonville.

Of the first 7 teams that picked, I really believe this worked out the best for him. The chance to be a standout on an already strong defense just doesn’t come along too often through the draft. And wth were the NY Giants thinking? lol

    • Iamheasyouarehe
      10:12 am April 26, 2019 Permalink

I really didn’t want him going to the Jets or the Giants, would’ve loved to see him go to the Niners.

I’m so glad the Giants played the role of the Browns in the draft this year. As a Cowboys fan, it brought me joy to watch them make such a silly pick at #6! LOL And I’m glad Allen is in the AFC, now I can cheer him on pretty much all the time.

The Giants crapped the bed; QB from a 3-5 ACC team? I was waiting for them to show NY fans like they did when the Knicks picked Knox.

I’ve never watched a football draft before. Maybe worse than basketball for time wasting. Then the first six teams don’t pick Josh. Um, SEC defender of the year? Hello! Then they’re interviewing Taylor Swift for some reason.

    • ClutchCargo
      10:06 am April 26, 2019 Permalink

I kept saying to the TV: “It says the pick is in! Just shut up already and let’s see who it is!!”

    • StillBP
      10:11 am April 26, 2019 Permalink

It was weird having Taylor Swift there but she was the 2nd best part of that draft. The first being Josh and his little guy up on stage! I guess when you have a draft in Nashville you gotta throw in a musician at some point. At least it wasn’t Luke Bryan 🙂

Ha ha, I know a nurse that actually went down there, just to be where “it’s happening”. A few years ago, she went to the Rolling Stones concert in Nashville. Before she went, I asked her to name three Stones songs…how about two…how about one? Nope.

    • Iamheasyouarehe

It’s really hard for me to believe there’s a person in the US who doesn’t know at least one Stones song.

Oh I believe it. I’m in my 40s and can only name one off the top of my head – that Satisfaction one. Whatever the official name is.

Sorry RCF. Stones were for the “old folks” when I got old enough to start listening to music(mid 80s). If my parents liked it, I wanted no part of it. These days I do enjoy some of the artists my parents liked that I didn’t appreciate when I was young.

    • Realme

Not being able to name the songs doesn’t mean that she wouldn’t recognize / like them when they play them. Anyone with a radio has heard plenty of their songs, many of us don’t know songs by their titles.

    • J-Dub421

I always liked Booger Mcfarland untill last night and that comment he made about our coaching staff was pretty classless.

  5. ClutchCargo

Booger’s (I hate calling a grown-ass man by that name) comment was just too far off the mark to offend me much. Just an odd thing to say, and the timing was just really strange.

I really don’t think Mcfarland meant it, the way we took it. Of course, NFL individual position coaching is going to be better; also, more time with the players.

    • ClutchCargo

BTW, one of Marilyn’s best movies was “The Seven Year Itch”, and the male lead in that movie, Tom Ewell, was from Owensboro. He also starred in the broadway play that preceded the movie with Paulette Girard.

This is going to make some KY fans angry, SI.com gave the Jags a C+….https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/04/25/nfl-draft-2019-first-round-grades-analysis-news

They gave the Jags a B+, but it should have been an A+. They gave the Giants a C+, which should have been an F.

    • Iamheasyouarehe

Ahhh, my mistake, lots of space between the analysis and the grades, not as bad as I thought. I agree with your assessment J-Dub.

True, J-Dub. The Giants are f’d!

    • StillBP
      11:17 am April 26, 2019 Permalink

Now we know why they traded OBJ. They have no intentions of throwing the ball ever, apparently. Just having someone under center to take snaps.

J-Dub who knows when they will actually play each other since Jags are AFC and Giants are NFC. Lord knows the Giants aren’t going to the SB any time soon. They don’t play each other this year. We shall see about next year but I doubt it.
