Sure hope they come out with Bahamas energy tonight.

And that the FB Cats show no mercy tomorrow (or dumb, beat themselves mistakes).

Tonight is a fresh start and a typical early November game. Tomorrow I’m looking for a clean game. We have played most of the season without those self-destructive mental mistakes, so hopefully that will continue. It would also be nice if our OL could find their second wind and turn back into the human bulldozers they were at the beginning of the season.

Not good when your SG leads in assists; need some PG contribution.
FB Cats play pretty well on the road; but, going to have to throw some, and loosen things up.

Both teams will be fine and bounce back.

Will we see the return of screaming Cal?

    • runningunnin.454
      11:59 am November 9, 2018 Permalink

Really didn’t like screaming Cal; he can scream all he wants in the locker room and practice…not on the sidelines.

I like whatever Cal it takes to get them going.

    • runningunnin.454

I don’t know, Clutch. There was once a screaming, player choking, chair throwing coach that won three National Championships and coached an undefeated team; but, I think there should be a quantum of decorum on the sidelines.

But we’re talking about Cal here. I don’t like any version of Bobby Knight.

    • runningunnin.454

Understood; and after I posted that, I thought $hit, I didn’t mean to make that comparison. Cal is special…not many coaches out there that could handle this job.

    Interesting stats from UL’s game last night;
    PF UL-12 Nichols-38
    FT UL-55 Nichols-16
Didn’t know Mack brought his own refs with him when he took the job; I’m sure they’re locked down for the UK game.

And, UL led by two with three minutes left in the game; Nicholl’s State says, “We didn’t even get kissed first”.

    • ClutchCargo
      10:30 am November 9, 2018 Permalink

I’m still feeling too depressed from Tuesday night to think about what UofL did. Maybe tonight will be the first step in snapping out of it. If not, there’s four more football games to enjoy.

Clutch, I agree – it has really tempered my excitement for this team. I really, really hope that dook has a Wisconsin waiting for them in the tournament, and after that the FBI flashlight shined on them and obliteration of their program when all the blatant cheating comes to light. Oh crap, now I just woke up – it would be just like UNCheat.

All the pressure and spotlight is on Duke now. And that’s fine with me. Let’s quietly fly under the radar, and get better as the season goes on. Then, smack them down when we rematch in the tournament.

    • Iamheasyouarehe
      11:27 am November 9, 2018 Permalink

I didn’t like Duke being the underdogs in the first place, that worried me.

Another year of probation? FOR FREAKING CHEATING WHILE ALREADY ON PROBATION? How could that be a big deal? That would be getting off easy.

This is Matt’s speculation about Dakich’s statement yesterday, for you non-listeners.

    • runningunnin.454
      10:34 am November 9, 2018 Permalink

      Double secret probation, no doubt!

    • J-Dub421
      10:39 am November 9, 2018 Permalink

Agreed. When a school get caught cheating a month after they got put on probation for cheating, it’s time to drop the hammer on them.

    • ClutchCargo
      10:43 am November 9, 2018 Permalink

And firing those guys who did all the cheating shouldn’t be much of a mitigating factor. They were already going to be canned one way or another after it all came out. I seem to remember UK paid a heavy price even after cleaning house, and that was for stuff not nearly as bad as what UofL did.

If it was Kentucky it would be the death penalty in a New York minute – by firing squad.

    • Kernel Sanders
      11:21 am November 9, 2018 Permalink

Death penalties won’t happen anymore. See what happened to SMU. It not only punished the athletics at SMU, it really hurt the entire school and arguably they still have not recovered. Heck the NCAA doesn’t even ban TV appearances anymore

    • runningunnin.454
      11:49 am November 9, 2018 Permalink

That’s probably true, Kernel; but, if strippers/hookers are on campus, and if fake classes are open to all students for 20 years, maybe it should hurt the entire school.

    • RealCatsFan
      11:55 am November 9, 2018 Permalink

They really should suspend the TV broadcasts while on probation, but now there is too much money involved. Maybe black it out for that school’s local region.

I love seafood, and have never tried The Ketch. Everyone I’ve ever heard comment on it, besides these guys being paid to bring their radio show there, says don’t bother.

    • CATandMONKEY

I was a semi-denizen of the Ketch around 2002- Enjoyed the bar but, being from New England- the seafood was decent but not the top in Lexington or Louisville.

We got this; Bball and Football.

This is the article I read on “Dr. Death.” It’s kind of long, but very interesting and likely to make you angry.

I started the podcast yesterday. Nuts.

    • J-Dub421

The truly infuriating part is that hospitals just kept passing him along to try to protect themselves from malpractice lawsuits. Everyone always bashes lawyers, but they at least report bad attorneys to their local Bar Associations and more or less police themselves and get rid of the really bad lawyers. Other professions should follow their example.

    • Realme
      11:25 am November 9, 2018 Permalink

Same thing happens with those angel of death type killers. Hospitals discover what they’re doing and fire them quietly so they don’t get sued, so they move elsewhere and do it again.

When you said Dr Death, I thought you meant Jack Kevorkian.

      12:05 pm November 9, 2018 Permalink

My brother died 15 years ago as a result of malpractice from a surgeon. My sister in law filed a lawsuit, but the lawyer dicked around so long that the statute of limitations was basically up by the time he told her she didn’t have a strong case. By then, she didn’t have time to find another lawyer to give her another opinion. At the time, this particular lawyer was making his money suing the Catholic priests, so her case got pushed to the back burner. IMO, it was a case of legal malpractice. Water under the bridge now.

    • Realme
      12:12 pm November 9, 2018 Permalink

Yeah, different kind of Dr. Death. A hospital killed my uncle and my aunt won a sizeable lawsuit. It’s a shame that lawyer let your sister in law down like that. Especially if they had kids who could have had college money, etc.

She should be punished the same way anyone who makes threats like that gets punished.

Girl, it would have been a lot less time and effort if you had just studied for the test. A lot less legal trouble too.
