Another good night of basketball; watched Wisky lose for 2nd time on consecutive nights; yep, they have yet another big obnoxious dumb looking guy in the middle, and a smug little pg, and they cry on every call.
Oh yeah, Dook lost, and were relegated to the ACC plus channel, couldn’t find their game anywhere.
So UL will be No. 1…well, they can have that kiss of death.
Duke losing is hilarious. Where’s trashbum? Is he off somewhere crying because Saint K lost?
No idea, but this somehow reflectls badly on Cal, in his small-minded view.
dook fans: “Stephen F’ing Austin!!” lol The news about Sestina is bad, but that doesn’t change the fact that I enjoyed that buzzer beating layup more than I should have!
Uuugh! So the afterglow of the dook loss has quickly faded with the news of Nate’s injury. DAMMITT!!!!

I like turkey done the way the Cajuns did it down in Baton Rouge – injected with hot sauce ans seasonings and deep fried. Yum!

Nope Realme, I prefer country ham over turkey any day.
Realme, I’ll be smoking 3 turkeys this week. You don’t even have to like turkey all that much to like it that way. Lots of people overcook turkey, also. The first thing I do when I unwrap that bird is to rip that red popup “done” indicator out and throw it away. Digital thermometers only for me.
One of my friends smoked a turkey for our “Friendsgiving” party Saturday. It was really good.
Yeah, I’m not that big of a turkey fan either. I prefer the dark meat – doesn’t dry out like white meat. But when you deep fry it, all the juices are locked in.
I stay away from the 20+ pounders, those big ones are where you run into potentially tough white meat. If I need 20+ pounds, I’ll do multiple 12-15 lb birds. More legs and thighs that way, too. Not to mention the sneaky best part when you smoke it and get them nice and crispy : more wings!
Yeah we know not to cook it for 4 hours like some people, but I don’t like the taste period. Give me a chicken or anything else really.
I LOVE Cal … but how many times has he intentionally mislead us on injuries? In recent years, there’s Jarred Vanderbilt, Jemarl Baker, PJ, Reid, etc. And that’s just off the top of my head. I genuinely trust Ryan more at this point.
And I understand why Cal does it — he is trying to protect his players and convince the nba to take them as early as possible. But cal hasn’t exactly been forthcoming in recent years …
Honestly, how many coaches are absolutely straight with the media / fans about injuries. Remember how Pitino used to say that a player would be out indefinitely, which meant he would be back in time for the UK game?
He’s out right now, and that’s all that anyone – including the doctors – really knows at this point. This just happened yesterday.
Anyone who trusts Ryan more than Cal might need to seek professional help.
I don’t understand why anyone thinks they’re entitled to someone else’s medical information.

Left hand – that is much more promising. Don’t be surprised if they have his wrist in one of those halo devices to preserve range of motion. My sister’s dog knocked her down one time and it shattered her wrist, and she had multiple pins in there to put everything back together and had this Clive Barker looking device to hold it in position. It was a PITA for her to deal with, but she regained full range of motion.
Did anyone see the story about the AD / Head football coach for Washington Co (IN) who suffered a stroke on the sidelines during the playoffs? Passed away this week. Very sad! He became an organ donor, so that is about the only silver lining in it all. Hug your loved ones and appreciate them this week! (And always!)
