It’s been a great holiday with much to be thankful for, family, food also Duke and UNC both lost.

Did you hear Jay Bilas crying about the officiating at the end of the Duke game? Lordy, what nerve!
They didn’t get the foul, they didn’t get the foul call…boo hoo, cry, cry, cry
Q up Janis, “Cry, Cry, Baby”.

Couldn’t stand listening because I knew that was coming, but I did see Zags on shot 2 or 3 freethrowns in he first half and Duke shot something like 15 or something.

BTW I love that Joplin song!

How about Cocker’s “Cry Me A River”?

      Who beat UNC?

    • runningunnin.454

Another good Cocker song, “You Can Leave Your Hat On”. It was in that movie with Kim Bassinger, Wow.

      Texas beat UNC.

      Unranked Texas beat UNC!

Didn’t notice a hat in that movie running haha

    • runningunnin.454
      10:40 am November 23, 2018 Permalink

You know, I don’t remember a hat, either. I don’t even remember the name of the movie…it was mostly forgettable except for that one 4 minute scene, ha ha.

    • Iamheasyouarehe

I remember Kim Basinger was in that movie and couple other points stuck out but nothing else.

Dang, now I am going to have to google that one, and what little chance I had at productivity here at work just went out the window. πŸ˜€

UNC has a kid who can shoot the lights out but Texas has a couple of studs.

Although I will never be sad to see dook lose, this may actually benefit them in the long run. I really wanted to see them go undefeated until the NCAA Tourney so their heads would swell up, and then have some no-name team knock them out in the first or second round. A good embarrassing first round loss might reverse this BS about dook being the “cool” program. Makes me want to puke up last night’s turkey to even say dook and cool in the same sentence.

Had to watch the infamous “WKRP in Cincinnati” turkey drop episode last night for old times sake. The line by Arthur Carlson, “As God is my witness, I didn’t know that turkeys couldn’t fly” is the most famous, but Less Nessman’s line “The turkeys seemed to be mounting a counterattack” was highly underrated.

It’s rich to hear Matt talk about terrible music. He’s the master of poor musical taste. πŸ™‚

    • Iamheasyouarehe
      10:37 am November 23, 2018 Permalink

Matt knows nothing about music, he thinks hip hop and rap are music.

Iam, sadly, so do my kids. πŸ˜‰

Man that is really sad RealCats, hopefully you can turn that around as they get older.

Iam, it’s like swimming upstream. πŸ˜‰ I don’t consider anything that has synthetic drumbeats or autotone to be real music. That electronic cymbal sound that is so pervasive today reminds me the sound that a bug zapper makes. Annoying.

Literally every generation has musical tastes their parents hate. It just means we’re all getting older. πŸ™‚

    • Iamheasyouarehe
      11:19 am November 23, 2018 Permalink

True but rap and hip hop are not music.

FWIW, I tend to agree. Now get off my lawn!!!

    • That Youtube vid I posted a while back was undeniable and documented proof that most of today’s music is TURRIBLE!

Of course, I also came across a video of Buddy Rich mercilessly beating down country music on the old Mike Douglas Show, no matter the singer or musician and in all forms. He absolutely shredded it. Lol.

Duke beating Cavs was a ridiculous comment but a homer.

To be fair, I recall some talk about whether our 2015 team could beat a bottom NBA team.

    • Iamheasyouarehe
      11:18 am November 23, 2018 Permalink

Yes and that was ridiculous too, but I heard that Ryen Russillo said that team had the best chance of any team going undefeated.

    • Iamheasyouarehe
      11:19 am November 23, 2018 Permalink

And stop being fair when it comes to Duke, there’s nothing fair when it comes to Duke.

Blandon, who just called in, is a driver for the Toyota dealership’s shuttle service here in Louisville. He has given me multiple rides into work. He is a heckuva nice guy, even if he is a UL fan. And he is hilarious – reminds you of John Candy in Planes, Trains and Automobiles. He has a son who is a college baseball player too.

Fave line from that movie when pulled over in the burned up car with all the gauges melted. “It’s hard to see with any degree of accuracy exactly how fast we were going”.

My favorite line is “Those aren’t pillows!” That movie is a Thanksgiving tradition – can’t believe I have not watched it yet. Need to put it on tonight. πŸ™‚

Oh, I have seen it dozens of times. I mean that I usually watch it sometime on Thanksgiving. Like watching “A Christmas Story” every year for me.

Sounds like most of the ST regulars have the day off from work and are out Black Friday shopping. (BTW, my favorite Steely Dan song.)

Wondering what the bowl committees will do if Fla St upsets Florida. That should move back in the big 6 picture.

And no to the no, I want no part of any Ball bro.

    Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone!
