Finally game week is here! I hope every Friday before the game this season, we get a pregame pep talk from Ryan! Matt you have to get Slash Slash to break down the game for us. Love the site redesign! Only thing missing (and I know it’s already being looked into) is Santa Kige!

A 5’9 point guard can work in Cal’s system if they are a leader, and can run the offense. Ulis may have issues defensively obviously, however, if there are 4 solid defenders around him, they can help cover that. Last year’s team had Nerlens bailing everyone out, and the perimeter defense was extremely poor. If Cal pairs Ulis up with two long, athletic wings that can defend, as well as a rim protector, it can work. If Cal thinks he can play, he’s right more often than not.

It’s awesome that there was a clean sweep of the Tards in the voting. They even had an advantage that the fair is in Louisville. Just goes to show that it’s 50-50 or maybe even 60-40 here in town.

159 — I know. I just disagree with you. Cal doesn’t offer scholarships to kids who are scrubs. Willis has good athleticism (much more so than Hood), and has tremendous ball skills to go with good height and length. There is a very limited number of kids in America who can handle the ball like him at the height of 6’8″. He also has great coordination, good feet, and good speed and quickness. He has a chance to be a good player at UK. It is simply not fair to him to make a comparison on his future UK career to that of Jon Hood.
