I thought Ally Tucker has a good post last night, I can’t believe people were upset with it. A lot of my friends think I’m crazy for thinking like Ally’s post. No one is saying Tubby was better than Cal, but I don’t see why it’s so wrong to say Cal has done really well in close tournament games that could’ve went either way and Tubby lost those same games.

Matt, stop trying to make a big ordeal about the YUM! Center. The only reason it is being investigated is because the TIF district was changed (and it will make more money this way) Im sure the bond holders are absolutely livid about that. I know in your fantasy land you want this to be a about the lease and UofL, but that is not the issue here. Looking at recent pics Im sure you hear a lot of things because your ears are approaching Dave Baker levels, but until you have an actual story you should just shush on the topic.

p.s. You should Google Prank Italian Clown, they took the North Hampton Clown to the next level.

MJ averaged more steals a game than Lebron and played in a time when the defenses were actually allowed to play defense. The refs didn’t protect the offense back then. It was a much more physical and enjoyable game back then. Also Jordan had to play against better superstars and players than the players Lebron is competing against now. Also MJ didn’t team up with superstars to win a title.

If you look at the career statistics they are almost similar with LeBron having a sample size 230 games less than Jordan.

Jordan was just as good a rebounder and defender as LeBron is and played in a completely different era of the NBA where it was a lot more physical.

How many points per game would Jordan average in this NBA?

  44. Delk for 3
    10:59 am May 15, 2014 Permalink

LeBron is easily the best player in the league since Jordan. He dominates w/ a combination of size, strength, athleticism and skill. Jordan wasn’t blessed with tremendous size or strength, but he made up for it with transcendent basketball skill and athleticism. They both have a different game and dominate in different ways. I would say with his ball handling and moves that Jordan sets the standard for all guards who ever play the game. In the same way, LeBron sets the standard for all point forwards who play the game. They both are the best at their respective positions. I don’t think you can say either one is “better” than the other though.

People don’t want to admit Lebron is the best player because they all said Jordan was and would always be the best player. People don’t like to admit when they are wrong. Jordan was a ball hog anyways, I’d rather have Lebron on my team any day of the week.

i noticed somebody was picking the Cats to advance. Hope they’re right. The Men’s Golf team continues a tradition of UK sports teams (outside of Men’s Basketball and I guess Rifle) doing well but not actually winning anything that has lasted several years now.

It makes perfect sense that a politician doesn’t want to politicize politics.

Malik Newmon is John Wall with Kevin Durant shooting ability, if he comes here he will be the second best player behind Davis to play here.

The MJ vs Lebron narrative is something that will always exist. Lebron gets a lot of push for being better than Jordan, simply because this younger social media fan base probably didnt get to see a lot of Jordan in his prime, maybe only knew him as that former great playing for the Wizards. IMO MJ is the greatest of all time and will remain so. I think his competitiveness is something we may never see again, he didnt just want to win, he NEEDED to win, it consumed him and provided the drive for his impressive career. Lebron is an amazing player, I dont want to take anything away from him, I’m just more partial to Jordan. I think it is always difficult to contrast superstars from different eras. What would Jordan look like today if he had the advancements in training/performance etc. that Lebron currently has access to? Just my two cents.

Missed the last 5 minutes. Why did Matt leave? Was there finally 3 callers in a row that hung up?

Ryan throws Matt under the bus for texting while driving. First commercial following the conclusion of KSR is a crack-down on texting while driving. Ironic.

People should really run their stories by a few friends before calling in. That guy talking about his wife’s jaw locking open made my insides crawl. He thought it was the funniest story in the world, but in reality, that story just perfectly illustrates the notion of “I guess ya had to be there.”
