Dan last night was the worst of the worst, I now hate Indiana even more than before. Which I thought that wasn’t possible. Ppl are watching the game to watch the kids and this clown argued about the greatness of Indiana and the shotclock for over half the game. The comment about UL fans picking convenient time spans is SO TRUE. Holy crap. So many UL fans will argue about ‘modern era’ and start at 1980. Right. Two years after Kentucky won a title and honestly had a great decade in general. Also omitting the fact that their titles in the 80s came before the 3-point line being mainstream.
I saw a tee shirt in a Louisville flea market stating to some effect that our first three titles were over 60 years ago, as if tradition means nothing.
One way to gin up attendance and support – move one of these Christmas break games some year into Memorial, and make it general admission. Lots of lost $$$$ but awesome publicity and momentum going into conference.
Another thing that is interesting is how docile these guys are in general. A little feistiness (even if misguided) is a good thing. Look at LeBron the other night — argued with Mario Chalmers about a missed defensive assignment. A few minutes later LeBron apologizes. That kind of stuff shows a team that cares.

Stacey Poole Jr. made the SportsCenter highlights for the wrong reason. He tried to go up to dunk on a fast break and the ball hit the rim and went bouncing back out to halfcourt.

Matt, I’ll take full responsibility for every loss UK has so far and for the lack of killer instinct the guys have shown on the court. 2011-2012, EVERY game I didn’t care where I was, I was jumping up and down, yelling, screaming going nuts. Last year I didn’t do that and this trend has continued this year. I promise, by the blue blood in my body, that from this Belmont game on out, I will revert back to my old ways of annoying the heck out of every non UK fan that happens to be anywhere near me when UK plays a game. What is the best college basketball rivlary of all time? I am having this argument at my office with a Duke fan right now. I say UofL-UK simply because the game is once a year vs 2-3 times a year for Duke and UNC.

Seriously guys. Stop watching these dumb Christmas movies. Scrooged has some of the best one-liners of any movie I’ve ever seen. Bill Murray is like top-notch Murray in it. The cast is incredible.
Matt, I have to admit that you should be responsible for some of the hypes and over expectation for BBN and I kept telling hubby Matt said how good these guys would be but it’s not happening yet!
Don’t hype the players while is HS. Just give the stats and facts about their HS career. Most of these kids have never played defense correctly or at the speed of the college game. The college game is different and they need time to adjust before being called “stone-cold killers”.

Yes, indeed , Kentucky Joe was entertaining the second floor of the KY State Dept of Transportation. The folks on the 2nd floor are great U of K fans and great state employees.
