The video of Boogie a few posts down of him being surprised with a party when he got back from the Olympics was pretty awesome!

It’s Pitino and his staff that failed to get the guys their rings a long time ago, and under Cal that was finally taken care of.
I think some of the players that have acted like turds (it’s not just DA) and criticized current teams and Cal are jealous.
Especially since Cal has worked really hard to be inclusive with former players and repair the damage after BCG. Then some of them turn around and crap on the current players/coaches/program.
With Pitino, I agree with Ryan that we adored him back in the day. But he is simply not the same person today. I hope it never gets that way with former players. There’s plenty of fan love to go around, and if some of them don’t wish the current program well, it doesn’t speak well of their character.
Rick flipped our fan based the bird and takes shots at UK all the time. Then he has the audacity to act like there’s no reason for our fans to dislike him now. What a tool.
Was watching GMA this morning, and they indicated that Brazil has produced no proof of the damages to the bathroom. No pictures or anything. However, I thought I read somewhere that there was a video.
I watched the video and it really didn’t show anything. Also USA today did some more investigating and kind of backed up Lochte. He was drunk and accidentally tore down a poster. There was no damage to the bathroom at all, and two off duty officers who were working security at the gas station did draw their guns on the swimmers and demand money for “damages” which was corroborated by a witness. Lochte embellished the story a little, but not that much. The Brazilian authorities railroaded the American swimmers and tried to make them look bad.

JDub, that’s kinda what i thought happened. and when they said “Lochte made it all up” were probably coerced into saying that so that they could go home.
There are a bajillion stories of corrupt officials in Brazil. I have no trouble believing that the Brazilians did a smear job and extorted money from our swimmers.
and at the same time, ruining lochte’s professional career. he’s now labeled as a lying prick and is losing endorsement deals left and right. Granted he did put himself in a poor situation, but if this happened the way i imagine it, he didn’t do anything worth ruining his career over.
Yeah, since when was there ever corruption of police and government officials in a third world South American country? 😉
