Ready for the early game tomorrow, although not sure if KSR is.

    Matt,

This happens all the time with bills being written by not lobbyist, but what is called Technical Writers. Technical Writers re-write bills, grants, provisions, etc. There is big money in being a technical writer. Of all places, WVU offers a Master’s Program for Technical Writers.

      10:35 am February 12, 2016 Permalink

      Who pays the technical writers?

    • eastky_blue
      10:44 am February 12, 2016 Permalink

Companies, lobbyists, organizations, the government. There are companies all through the north that make their living with contracts to these said clients.

So, you kind of just made Matt’s point. 3 of the 4 sources of payment for the writers of bills you listed are different versions of special interests, not the people elected to legislate our commonwealth and country.

which is why the majority of government officials are corrupt… because money talks louder than virtues that really matter in this world.

Ryans’s wife is pretty harsh on him publicly…though he deserves it most times. Must be a challenge to have the Jester of KSR as one’s spouse.

The early game tomorrow makes for a long day of “tailgating” if you include pre and post-game.

Well, at least the early game time might dampen the “spirits” of some of the USC redneck crowd.

A very possible advantage for us in a tough road – game. Not looking forward to 327 spins of Sandstorm.

If Louisville fans don’t think it’s a big deal that their coaching staff hired hookers for players and recruits, then what exactly constitutes a big deal??

    • Realme
      10:35 am February 12, 2016 Permalink

Anything that they can use to try to deflect attention away from their hot garbage program.

    • CATandMONKEY

Perhaps UofL fans posting on KSR should constitute an NCAA violation.

    • ukjaybrat

just a guess… but maybe a coach that had a final four taken away by what a kid may or may not have done over 500 miles away. Louisville fans might think that’s a big deal.

If your team plays an ineligible player you have to forfeit wins and banners, unless you’re Duke…..

Indiana sure is proud of a 20 win season. How is that an accomplishment? 30 win season is probably something to celebrate. See if you can get there.

    • J-Dub421
      10:48 am February 12, 2016 Permalink

Exactly. If you’re one of the big boy programs, you don’t get excited over a 20 win season.

agreed… but as irrelevant as IU has been in the last 20 years, maybe this really is something worth gloating about… ok yeah no. it’s still pathetic

Holy cow, check out this article from ESPN about Louisiana’s budget deficit and how they may cancel LSU football/athletics.

Didn’t read all of it. but i’m pretty sure LSU football is self-sustaining. they don’t need government money to stay alive. The rest of their collegiate sports may end up taking a hit. but not football.

    • J-Dub421
      11:14 am February 12, 2016 Permalink

One would think LSU would be self-sustaining, but that the article was even talking about the possibility of canceling LSU football is pretty big.

And the Louisville fan is pissed that Powell talked. “That trick should have kept her mouth shut.” Those were his exact words. Maybe your program shouldn’t have had someone on the coaching staff hiring hookers. Then you wouldn’t have to worry about anyone talking.

There’s no way we get double digits by one of our bigs on the road at USC. Maybe combined, but not individually.
