I think Ryan just walked over to the show today.

How many more tour dates do you all have?

Hope they’re inside. McConnell Springs is usually a mosquito farm at this time of year.

Is McConnell Springs where Mitch McConnell grew up? What are the odds that we will be blessed with one of Ryan’s Mitch impersonations?

Way to ruin Ryan’s birthday bash before it starts, Mr. ask for forgiveness instead of permission.

A firm handshake shows you’re paying attention to meeting another person, a weak one shows you’re thinking instead about yourself. Trying to squeeze another person’s hand off says you’re an asshole.

So Trump probably tries to squeeze your hand off with his short, stubby fingers. 😀

It’s entirely relative. There are some noodle-handed people who would interpret even an average squeeze as a death grip. And there are genuine death grippers who don’t even realize that they are breaking bones in the hands of the people they meet.

    • What’s weird is you meet some big burly guy for the first time and you expect the death grip and he gives you a dead fish (or a wet washrag as some call it), and then the little old lady at church gives you the firm handshake.

yeah chris, it’s always weird when i meet new women. do i squeeze firmly and let them know i mean business? because if they are dainty and i crush their hand, i feel bad.

If i go in soft and they are more firm, they probably think i’m not a go-getter… lose-lose-sometimes-win i guess

Jay if you care enough to think about it, you’re probably not overdoing it. But seriously, it’s all about the level of how engaged you are. Watch limp handshake people. They also don’t make as much eye contact or show as much interest in the person they’re meeting, and vice versa.

fair point. i’m usually somewhere in the middle anyway. what i hate the most is a super firm grip guy who always starts squeezing before you can get a good grip. so he’s basically squeezing my fingers together and i’m not even really grasping anything… that guy is annoying as hell

      George Bush doesn’t have a firm handshake…

  6. Why is Sweet Caroline so popular at ball games & with college students? I like the song (grew up listening to the Jewish Elvis), but it’s not like that song would ever make it onto one of those old ESPN “Jock Jams” CD’s (or whatever they were called).

Not sure – funny thing is, that song came on the radio when I was driving in, and I was thinking the same thing.

Because she’s such a thrill after dark in Cherry Hill Par……oh wait, that’s a different song.
