20 Comments for KSR going an extra 15 minutes today for an interview with John Feinstein

  1. Matt, ask him about the column he wrote right after UK almost knocked off the Dukies in 92. He basically complained that UK was back too soon and should have gotten the death penalty.

UK fans giving Arkansas and Ohio State football fans a run for their money for the fan base that overreacts the most to people who “hate” on their programs. And before people comment on this and call me a Louisville fan, I’m not.

Read all the BS and lies John Feinstein has been publishing for decades about the University of Kentucky. He takes great pleasure in being the number one detractor of the winningest NCAA Division I basketball program in history. Calling him a ‘longtime UK hater’ is mild IMO.

John Feinstein takes this way beyond hate. He goes out of his way to make things up. He has been UK’s number one hater for decades and with the Billy Reed’s of the world, Pat Forde and the list could go on, that is saying something. The piece of trash named John Feinstein is pathetic

Love the fact that because Duke didn’t get in trouble with the NCAA in regard to Magette (you can throw in Thomas as well) is the reason he doesn’t seem to have a problem with it. Lol.

Big Fred Flintstone/Herman Munster head. But that’s an insult to Fred and Herman. Typical Dookie.

Both Matt & JF, held their ground and did not give an inch. What I gathered from
the interview was JF was “labeling” the entire South as being racist. He admitted
to singling Rupp out because “He was good”.Clearly by admitting that his bias
against Kentucky surfaced. Lets see now, the WHOLE SOUTH was racist, so
i’m going to pinpoint Rupp, solely because his program was “good”.. You couldn’t
help coming away from the interview with any other feeling that “haters” are going
to hate. Matt held his ground but, JF, was predispositioned to stick with his own
guns however flawed they may be when given critical review.

I thought history stated that an all white Kentucky Starting 5 defeated an All white Duke starting 5 in 1966. I’d be glad to trade that win( that sent UK to the title game) for a win against Duke (and a final 4 berth) in 1992.

As to Feinstein, critizizing Kentucky fans. Its clear to me he is jealous of what Kentucky “has”, an
unmatched fanbase in basketball that only stands to grow in football as well should the Stoops era
begin to rise as some think that it will. Alabam, without doubt is the kingpin of support when it
comes to football. Feinstein, also was critical towards the entire Southern states as being “too
supportive” when it comes to football, while at the same time mentioning that Duke had “robbed”
football money for the school and filtered it into its basketball program. Matt, finally got Feinstein to
admit Duke was “fortunate” to have lost to Kentucky in 1966, but whan Matt asked him to include
Duke in anyfuture questions along with Kentucky regarding the 1966 title game, Feinstein refused.
Clearly wanting to hold on to the “position” he and others critical of Kentucky want to portray us.

Feinstein has been butthurt about UK since he was a student at Duke in the 70’s. He was a student when we hung #5 on them in 78.

He wrote a piece as astudent basically saying that even in defeat Duke won the game because the Duke team was the epitome of the student athlete.

    Whatever, loser.

Feinstein is like a typical angry Jewish man that has to find someone to hate on because he isn’t a part of it and will never understand it
