KSR fans raise $10,000 for charity to bail Ryan Lemond out of KSJail early

You people are amazing. In only four hours, KSR fans raised the $10,000 needed to bail Ryan Lemond out of KSJail early and benefit three great causes.

As of now, the GoFundMe we set up this morning stands at nearly $10,500, which will reduce Ryan’s sentence to six days/nights and go to three amazing charities: Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lexington, the organization that helped Ryan and his wife adopt their children; Keith Madison’s SCORE International, a Christian mission organization that provides baseball equipment and instruction in the Dominican Republic; and an epilepsy charity to be named later.

Just because we’ve already reached $10,000 doesn’t mean we have to stop. Click here to donate. Thanks to you, Ryan’s going home early now, but we can still do a lot of great for these causes that mean so much to his family and the KSR community.

UPDATE: Matt just raised the stakes!

Let’s do this.

With so many needy local charities…why give to the Dominican Republic?

Why question someone’s choice to give to a legitimate charity? Feel free to pull out your checkbook and give to whoever you see fit. There is plenty of need to go around.

When the first charity Ryan chooses is local, why complain about him also picking one that does work elsewhere. YOU go raise over 10 grand in a few hours and then you can pick whatever charity you like.

With so many charities being ripe with corruption (see the Donald J. Trump Foundation)…just wondered out loud why such an obscure one was chosen. Regardless, kudos to the gang for their philanthropy.

Dominican lives are equal but normally you help people from your own country 1st. But he has the right to pick out whatever like the above posters mentioned
