    Happy early Halloween!

So glad I don’t have to find a new show from 10-noon… With your new boss, can you not mention UL?

The actual Paducah city population is about 24,000. The metropolitan area is nearly 100,000.

Nevermind, I forgot I was listening to yesterday’s podcast.

So, I guess this solidifies the run for office. When we didn’t get a periscope last night I knew it was really bad.

I just saw where that Ramsey/Mexican photo was a campus wide celebration for Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead). It is celebrated every year on their campus. Maybe this will take some butt hurt away from liberal Tyler.

Even if that’s true (which I doubt), you would think the UofL president would have more sense than to invite any kind of scrutiny or criticism when his school is under the national media microscope. Spin it any way you want, but the timing is horrible.

None of the costumes were remotely reminiscent of “Dia de Muertos”…simply stereotypical Mexican costumery. Not offensive, just poor timing.

If a fraternity or sorority did that they would have gotten in trouble. The president of the university should be held to the same standard.

This SHOULD be the time to lay low, stay off the radar. Instead, the ‘Ville chooses to feed the machine. Poor judgement shown by the people who are paid large sums to exercise good judgement. 7th graders show better decision-making skills on a regular basis.

Matt, why don’t you look into starting your own radio station? It’s doable. The way your show is syndicated, you wouldn’t need to invest as much as you think. Then you can truly be your own man on the air. Forget the political office stuff, and stick with this. If you do get elected, you’ll just become frustrated with our political system. I’m being serious here. Think about it.

    • That would take a lot of capital it seems to me, at least if you want something beyond a little a.m. megaphone on a hill station run by a gerbil and a wheel, especially with so many stations owned by huge conglomerates (iHeart, Cumulus, etc.) these days.

Wouldn’t it make more sense for him to just try to find another syndicator to work with, or syndicate the show himself, especially if he had a guarantee that he calls the shots? I know nothing abut the radio business but I’m just wondering.

It’s not nearly the capital you think. Mostly studio equipment is the biggest cost. See, you don’t have to spend a great deal of money on your transmitter and tower. That’s not what it’s at these days. Syndicate and you use their tower… And with all the apps like iheart, you’ll still have a huge audience at relatively little cost.

With everything America does for Mexicans who come over legally and illegally, Americans have every right to dress as Mexicans. I wouldn’t be offended if a Mexican wanted to dress up as a white guy.

There was a sorority last year that did get in trouble for dressing like Mexicans. Also, the frat at IU was recently shut down for having strippers at a party and video tapping it.

If they tapped it, that is an impermissible benefit.

Yeah, they were doing more than just taping those strippers.

The Jeff Greer column in todays C-J seems to suggest that God knew what was going on at L1C4. Trey Lewis feels that God placed him here to lead a group of young players through this turmoil, (which none of us knew was coming at that time).

Guys, dual-threat QB’s are dangerous at the college level. Whenever UK realizes that, the more successful we will be.

Pulaski’s Riley Hall will be waiting for the call.
