Kentucky’s Incoming Recruits Continue to Impress

may classic

Karl Towns wasn’t the only one with a spectacular performance yesterday, not by any stretch of the imagination. Trey Lyles must have heard the news of Towns’ near quadruple-double and decided to try and one-up it with a 45 point, 16 rebound performance. Even more impressive was the fact he did it on 9-of-13 shooting from the field and 27-of-33 shooting from the free throw line. His performance, in addition to the stand-out efforts of all of Kentucky’s incoming recruits gained the attention of John Calipari.

Anyone in Southern Ohio can see Ulis at Dayton on Jan. 18th at 8:30pm in Flyin to Hoop tourney. Also 2015 target Kennard plays Jan. 18th at 6:45 pm.

It’s exciting to see them playing well, but really we shouldn’t get too worked up over the numbers. Lets be real, these guys are far better than their competition they are playing against right now, so they should be putting up good to great numbers. It doesn’t always mean they are going to come in and take over just the same in college basketball. We sometimes put too much pressure on these kids to come in and produce at a high level when in most cases for most players coming into college there is a learning curve to be expected. Good luck to these guys the rest of the season and I’m excited to see them in blue next year!

I’m looking forward to seeing Ullis. We will have the fortunate luxury of having three point guards.

      1) Andrew
      2) Dominique
      3) Ullis

O’ lot of competion and very deep. I see at times we will run small with 2 PG’s but the 2 guard can’t be overlooked either.

      1) Aaron
      2) Booker
      3) Floreal

Depends on who stays and who goes… Tyler Ulis IS good enough to start next season despite what people might think about his size.. you’re so right though the depth looks amazing next year

It’s crazy, but I’m as excited about the free throw percentage as anything else. 27-of-33. Go figure.
