Kentucky WBB Guard Jaida Roper Set to Play Professionally

She spoke it into existence and worked it all into fruition.

Kentucky Women’s Basketball senior guard Jaida Roper has decided that she will continue her athletic career after she announced on social media that she has officially signed with an agent.

During her fourth and final season in Lexington – that was ultimately canceled by COVID-19 – Roper was playing the best basketball of her life. The 5-foot-6 native of Memphis was a regular starter for the season-half of the season, averaging 7.8 points and 3.4 assists per game while shooting 33.9 percent from 3 in 2019-20. On top of her success as an athlete, she’s strived as a student, too, being named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

Her journey through life is unique, and fully explains why she is the exact same bright personality in real life that you see on social media. But her story isn’t even close to finished. Taking her basketball talents to a new level is the next step.
