According to ESPN, Joyner ranks as the 29th overall player in her class and the ninth-best forward. The 6-foot-2 native of Farmville, NC has been raking in the offers this month; Louisville, Ole Miss, Rutgers, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech, and Miami (FL) have all reached out to Joyner with offers in July.
She’s listed as a forward but dazzles with guard-like tendencies. Joyner has the ability to dribble and penetrate to go along with an efficient outside shot. She compares her game to two-time WNBA MVP Elena Delle Donne and NBA superstar Kevin Durant because of her offensive versatility.
“She [Joyner] can dribble the basketball,” said her high school head coach Hollis Harper, according to WITN.com. “She can bring it out. She can shoot the three. She can take it to the rack. That’s what gives her an advantage over a lot of people her size.”
Joyner is hardly just a perimeter player, though. She can attack the basket, score on the block, and has a knack for protecting the paint on the other end of the floor. Check out her highlights below and see for yourself.
