This team plays way better in the 2nd half. Kept it close so still very much in it. Dakari getting 2 fouls is big since wcs can’t play with their bigs just like I predicted. He’s soft. Fashion means more to him than basketball.
Gonna come back and win this. I’m sure of it. They played as good as they can and only up 6. They won’t continue that and we’ll play better. UK by 5.

Its real hard to win on the road when we start out this terrible. I hope that the game ends up similar to the Arkansas game, but we make the second half adjustments and beat LSU down the stretch. The defense has been bad against LSU thus far. Grateful that LSU has missed some wide open shots.

Hickey came alive in the state tournament and if I am correct that would be the class with Teague.
He was going somewhere smaller until after his performance in the Sweet Sixteen and then got recruited by LSU.
They shot 50% FG, 38.5% 3s and 83% FTs. No way they can maintain that the whole game.

Agree, Like I said on here after UGA game I will wait till I see good play for more than 1 game vs a bad team without its top player. I am getting sick of this and really wish we had players that played for the love of the game and gave their all. I just watched Andrews guy go by him and dish for dunk and Andrew showed no effort to stop and no care afterwards. I want guys who are here because they know what wearing Kentucky across your chest is all about. Just watch and it looks like every opposing player is playing harder than our guys, they move crisply on offense. Announcer just said it best, one team is competing and one team is playing, sadly this happens more games than not.
Think how much better we’d be if Dakari had all of wcs’s minutes this season.
James Young is by far the best player on the team this year!!! Anthony Davis and MKG and Terrence Jones type of players don’t come around every year.

This is just a repeat of last year’s team. Inexperience, no passion for defense and poor coaching. Why Cal continues to start WCS over Dakari Johnson is yet another mystery. Best recruiting class EVER? Geez-o-Pete, the divas on this squad–and there are plenty, you can tell–have no heart. Clearly what was going on was not working…oh, say, after the first 35 minutes…that would have been a good opportunity to try a fresh approach and see what happens – like put in Polson, Hood, Willis, Lee, and Hawkins (or maybe keep in Johnson – he was doing well) and just see how it plays out with a different offensive pattern – what we were doing was all too predictable to LSU. That may not have worked either, but at least try something different.

Can someone explain Cals sub patterns tonight? Why in the world did Randle get pulled so frequently. I know it isntbthe case but its as if he doesn’t understand that pulling someone after every mistake doesn’t help confidence or the players ability to develop a rhythm.
This team is not good in any aspect as it relates to being a top 25 team. They have not gotten better in the last 4 games.

Harrisons get dominated by much smaller guards. WCS gets punked as usual. Randle is a no show. Young still jacking up bad shots. It’s too late in the season to say “they are young.” They just aren’t good is the answer. Without a doubt the most over-rated recruiting class in the history of basketball. Please take away the one year rule so these guys will try to go straight to pro and I won’t have to deal with Cal recruiting them anymore. He’ll be forced to actually coach and recruit guys that will actually stay.
