Adam Zagoria of ZAGSBLOG reported earlier today that John Calipari would be traveling to The Patrick School in New Jersey to visit with the No. 1 player in the class of 2021, Johnathan Kuminga on Monday. The Elizabeth, NJ native is a small forward and stands at 6’8″ and 210 pounds. He’s been considered Duke’s to lose for a while, but it is interesting to see the Kentucky staff still making a push at him.

Andrew Slater from The Athletic also reported the same as Zagoria, and even followed up to our own Jack Pilgrim’s comments on the visit.
Jon and T.Clarke know each other Very well. Their recruitments, however, are separate entities. At the highest level, this will be about fit and being able to showcase for the League. There’s too much money to jeopardize any draft slots. https://t.co/XDYKTuD46R

Kuminga is AAU teammates with Kentucky commit Lance Ware, so it can’t hurt to have another person in his ear talking up the Cats. Take a look at his highlights from this year’s Peach Jam below.
With four players already in the fold for John Calipari, he and his staff will have the time to really hone in on their remaining targets to attempt to add to the top class in the nation.
