On Friday, Kentucky offered four-star power forward Lance Ware and quickly became the favorite for his services. This morning, Eric Bossi included Ware in his list of players that could be bumped up in Rivals’ rankings next month. Currently, Rivals ranks Ware as the No. 8 power forward and the No. 52 overall player in the 2020 class.

“Both myself and Corey Evans are in total agreement that we have Ware underrated, and we spent much of July wondering why elite college hoops programs weren’t all over him. He is quick, he has touch, he causes nightmares for other bigs when attacking off the dribble from the high post and he’s learning to play from inside out to maximize his quickness advantage.”

For more on Kentucky’s chances with Ware, check out Jack’s Insider Notes from last night. And then watch him dunk all over people at the Peach Jam.

Typical. UK or Duke offers a kid and he gets a bump in the rankings. That’s why some kids want offers from big schools. Recruiting is the definition of stupidity.

Why some kids? I’d say every kid wants that big school offer. And they get the jump because the coaches are seeing something the so called experts missed.

Strong to the hoop! That’s what I like to see in a big man!

Actually saw this guy play in person at peach jam. I didn’t know his name (just number). Thought to myself this kid is aggressive and still stays out of foul trouble. As Cletis mentioned time and time again…going to the basket with power and step.
