A trio of college programs will send assistant coaches to watch 2021 five-star forward Paolo Banchero in his season-opener on Friday night.
According to Jake Weingarten, the Washington Huskies and Tennessee Volunteers will join a Kentucky Wildcats assistant coach to watch from the sidelines as Banchero’s O’Dea High School (WA) is set take on Chief Sealth High School at 8 p.m. tonight.
Kentucky and Washington will also send assistants in tonight for five-star junior Paolo Banchero, a source told @Stockrisers. https://t.co/4dj60Ef5wx

Banchero is listed as the No. 3 overall player in the class of 2021 and has been a sought after prospect for some time now. He’s received a total of 19 offers from high-profile programs such as Duke, North Carolina, and Gonzaga. Back in early September, Banchero cut his list of potential schools down to just nine with Kentucky making the cut.
Shortly after that announcement, Banchero went on KSR’s Sources Says Podcast with Jack Pilgrim, where he spoke highly of Kentucky and the relationship head coach John Calipari has with his mother. Banchero was also recently in attendance for Big Blue Madness.
As of right now, 247 Sports Crystal Ball has 100 percent of the predictions going to his nearby Washington Huskies. But with several other colleges hot on his heels, the recruitment process could get interesting over the next few months. Gonzaga recently paid him a visit while Duke and UNC have planned visits in the near future.
