Kentucky Offers 4-Star Canadian Guard Shaedon Sharpe

Shaedon Sharpe, a 6’4 Shooting Guard from Canada, is the latest player from the 2022 class to receive an offer from Kentucky.
Thankful to have received an offer from the University of Kentucky! #BuiltDifferent pic.twitter.com/InaRs5nBD2

The Ontario native has a 45 inch vertical and is yet another athletic perimeter player that Coach Cal wants in the blue and white.
24/7 Sports has Sharpe listed as the 42nd best player in the class, but expect that ranking to move up as his recruitment continues. 24/7 also named him as one of the ten fastest rising stars in the 2022 class:
“Sharpe currently holds five high majors and that number is likely to double in the near future. Sharpe is a great athlete who has the ability to switch momentum in a game quickly with his highlight reel dunks. Sharpe also has a good frame and excels in the pick and roll. He appears to be the latest in a growing line of Canadian players with big-time potential.”
“I feel like I’m a top 10 player in the 2022 class in America,” Sharpe said. “I think eventually that will happen, so I don’t worry about it. I’m more motivated by not being there right now than anything. It just means there’s more work to do, and that was always the plan anyway.”

can he shoot?
They can all shoot until they get to Lexington
That’s what I was scrolling down to the comments section to ask!
It says in the first sentence that he is a shooting guard; maybe we should get excited if they call a recruit a making guard?
lol
It doesn’t look good for 3s or Free throws. My best guess is that he gets his points athletically.

Yes he is a Sharpe shooter
Punny
Haha. Not bad.
I think the answer to “can he shoot?” was answered in the article when it said “athletic” frontcourt player. Translation- he can run fast and jump high but can’t shoot.
Hopefully he can shoot. Someday cal will realize u have to score more points than the other team and shooting is important
It won’t be long before KSR is talking about how great next years team will be around mid January when this years team has no shot at winning a title. Seems like the same old “Wait until next year” to allow people to get through this year.
It’s sad to see Kentucky so irrelevant now. They’re as out of the picture now as Michigan and Nebraska are in football.
Go fall on something Sharpe.
Just kidding man, but I hope this trolling makes you happy. Card Chronicle is that way >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I will say congrats ahead of time if you all beat us for like only the 2nd or 3rd time since Cal’s been at UK.
U know as bad as we are cg, I feel like they will rise to the occasion against Cahill’s dirty birds. He can say whatever he wants, but we OWN them..
4star #49 athletic guard with a 45inch vertical, that’s accurate to midrange…..Stoped reading. Wash rinse repeat. Cals stubbornness to see his own flaws have caught up to him.
Stopped
When people question the OAD system, and the Cal Crusaders come rushing in saying “are we supposed to not take the best players”, is this the type of kid y’all are talking about? Or is this another kid that will never play for Cal because he has no NBA draft status, then those same Crusaders can say “see y’all wanted 4 year guys” then he transfers.
Over the past 5 years and I’m sure this year as well the teams who have won the title are heavy on juniors and seniors. I’d rather have 3-4 years of the same guy and get to the Final 4 maybe once than the crap the UK program has become. Cal has sacrificed the program for his own ego of getting kids to the NBA. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for the players but as a fan not beating Louisville, not winning the SEC and not winning a title is what UK tradition is about not this “Hey can you name 2 of the OAD players off of the last 5 teams”?
Calipari has beaten Louisville a lot since he’s been here and won the 5 regular season titles and 6 sec tournament titles so there’s that. Should we have more than one National title? YES!!!
Cal didn’t win in 2012 bc of ad and kidd it was because of lamb who shot lights out dude should have been praising him forever but hear nothing about him just the kids that got drafted. Ad is the best and his defense was another reason we won and Kidd had some big plays they all contributed that yr Miller Jones even Teague hit a big shot but had a below average game, he controlled the ball well but without lamb that game making shots he never wins that game. It took ad saying I’m going to take over defensively and lamb was gonna get buckets. All the defense in the world is great but you have to be able to score and if you notice we a lot of upperclassmen like Vargas too. Cal needs to look at that. Star freshman with guys who have experience it’s a great combination. Why do we need all these kids to reclassify bc they had a good yr in hs or just get transfers. I Like getting athletic kids you can’t teach that, but doesn’t always pan out ala hami Whitney.hope we get him in a yr we’re supposed to sounds like a kid who wants to work.
At least 3 high schools already. No thank you.
We win 2012 because of Lamb, TJ, and Darrius Miller. THEN add in MKG and AD. Cal no longer recruits the ADs and MKGs and no longer keeps Lamb and TJs. He said after the 2012 NC game his only goals were to have a 40-0 team and win a NC consisting of a freshman starting 5.
He will never sniff either of those 2. That lightening in a bottle already struck. I no longer care about a freshman’s draft status. I enjoy watching KU with all upperclassmen best TT one the road more than watching UK lose to GTech on a neutral site.
I never cared about their draft status, at least not a lot. It especially irritates me when I see the mock draft articles before the first ball has even gone up…except in practice.

From “The Brow” to “The ‘Stache”?
“Jordan did say that Sharpe can extend a defense out to the perimeter with his jump shot, and he is pretty accurate from the mid-range”.
PRETTY accurate from mid-range? We all know what this all means. It means he’s probably pedestrian at best from the perimeter. Ugh.
