Kentucky National Guard Supports “Feeding Kentucky”

In accordance with guidance from Governor Beshear, Kentucky National Guard soldiers from HHC, 149th MEB assembled emergency food boxes in Lexington supporting God’s Pantry Food Bank. The food will go to pantries and meal programs across Central and Eastern Kentucky. The Guard has the capability to pack 300 boxes per hour. God’s Pantry’s goal is to build 10,000 boxes for food insecure Kentuckians.

The Kentucky National Guard is also offering operation and support of food banks in Kentucky’s fight against COVID-19 at Feeding America in Elizabethtown and Freestore Food Bank in Wilder.

You can help by going to and donating. The organization’s CEO Michael Hannigan said on Tuesday that financial donations are critical as God’s Pantry will spend $750,000 purchasing food.
