Kentucky Makes Top Five for Top-Ranked Basketball Recruit

247

Things change fast in the recruiting world.  This time, things are moving in the right direction for Kentucky.

Anthony Edwards, the new No. 1 player in the 2019 recruiting class, revealed his top five to Evan Daniels: Georgia, Florida State, Kansas, Kentucky and North Carolina.

“Kentucky is the Big Blue school,” Edwards said. “It’s different with Coach Cal and it’s a good school and I know a couple of people that go there.”

The decision to put UK in his top five comes less than a month after Edwards told USA Today he would not take an official visit to Lexington.  Florida State is still the odds-on favorite, but UK has undeniably regained some momentum for America’s top-ranked player over the last month.

Can Kentucky finally become the bride, and not just a bridesmaid for these top recruits? CATS

He’s just listing UK to list UK. He’ll go to FSU, dominate the ball and be happy. We’ll get ours, be on TV more than FSU and make a run in March.

Why would he do that since he didnt list them before? Before Michigan St and Duke was listed. Now they’ve been replaced with UK and UNC.

Those were his visits. Georgia, FSU, Kansas, Michigan State, Duke. His top ten included both Carolina and Kentucky

Yeah but ud think if u arent getting a visit u wouldn’t be in the top 5. Usually official visits are people’s top schools so it already looks like his recruitment is gonna be a weird one.

I wish it was true. Sadly though it has long been known that he was FSU’s to lose. I don’t think it’s Cal, he hasnt changed, but his assistants have. Antigua/ Slice vs. Justus/Barber…..? Who do u take?

Cal really needs to get rid of Barbee and try to get Coach O back.

Well congratulations on getting in your unrelated (unfounded and absurd, as well) point about a former assistant who hasn’t faired well since he left Cal’s side. Totally supported your accurate premise that this kid from Florida has always been a FSU homer…
