John Calipari’s recruiting hot streak doesn’t appear to be slowing down.

A four-star guard out of the class of 2022, Isaac McKneely, has trimmed his list of potential college choices down to just eight programs and the University of Kentucky has made the cut. The 6-foot-4 combo guard out of Poca, West Virginia is ranked as the 57th-best player in his class, according to 247 Sports Composite Rating. Along with the ‘Cats, McKneely also listed West Virginia, Illinois, Purdue, Louisville, Virginia, North Carolina, and Indiana among his top eight.

McKneely is perceived as a West Virginia-lean at the moment, but Kentucky came into the game late and is now right in the mix. According to 247 Sports, UK is actually the only school of the eight he listed that has yet to offer him an official scholarship. McKneely recently spoke to Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers and had this to say about the Wildcat program: “Also just getting started with them. They’ve said they really like my game. They are obviously a big-time program, and they really develop their players to get them ready for the next level. So I think they would be a great option for me.”

Per Weingarten, McKneely has gained 20 pounds of muscle and grown two inches in just the last several months. Watch his highlights below.

So, they’re really the Poca Dots? If so, that’s really cool.

So we’re gonna count making the top 8 for the 57th ranked player as part of a “hot streak”?

This program is going nowhere. It’s no longer a player at the elite level. They aren’t even the best program in the SEC anymore.

You have to have caucasians that can shoot the ball in today’s game. Wisconsin whipped us with whities, and Wofford should have beat us.
