Last night, Kentucky made the cut for four-star in-state defensive end JJ Weaver. This morning, they made the cut for another defensive star: three-star defensive tackle Isaiah Gibson. The Springfield, Ohio native included the Cats in his final seven, which also includes Georgia, Florida, Michigan State, Minnesota, Purdue, and Wisconsin.

Gibson is teammates with Kentucky commit Moses Douglass, whose father, Moe Douglass, played defensive back for Kentucky and now coaches the pair at Springfield. Gibson plans to announce his decision on September 19. Wisconsin is considered the Cats’ top competition.
