Is it time to get the dice rolling again?

Tomorrow afternoon, 2020 three-star cornerback and Kentucky football target Carrington Valentine is set to make his college decision. On his Twitter page today, the 6-foot-0 defensive back out of Cincinnati, OH said the announcement will come at 3:00 p.m. ET.

And why is this important for the Big Blue Nation? On Valentine’s Crystal Ball over at 247Sports, Kentucky has 100% of all predictions, including picks in favor of the Wildcats from 247Sports director of football recruiting Steve Wiltfong, Ohio recruiting analyst Bill Greene, and Kentucky football insider Josh Edwards.

Valentine, an Archbishop Moeller product, currently holds offers from Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Louisville, Minnesota, Purdue, Rutgers, and West Virginia, among several others. 247Sports lists him as the No. 959 recruit in the nation, the No. 81 cornerback overall, and the No. 35 player in Ohio.

The three-star cornerback prospect visited Lexington on June 21, his most recent recruiting trip.

With his commitment, Kentucky’s class of 2020 would jump from No. 24 in the nation to No. 22 overall, moving from a score of 192.14 to 196.10.

Valentine would become the 14th member of UK’s 2020 recruiting class, joining Justin Rogers, Samuel Anaele, John Young, JuhTahn McClain, Kalil Branham, Beau Allen, Earnest Sanders, Izayah Cummings, Torrance Davis, Andru Phillips, Jordan Watkins, Joshua Jones, and D’Eryk Jackson.

Check out his junior-year highlight reel below:

Come on down, Mr. Valentine.

This kid has some dog in him. Just the kind of kid Our staff loves to. Anyway, guys, this morning I was talking with someone and they haven’t been into football much the last few years. I started talking about Coach Stoops and all our players, and I swear I had cold chills. Haha. I got going on about how we were recruiting and developing players and couldn’t stop.

I must have said something good because I had him fired up, said he wished he had been following us more. The thing is I talked for 35 or 40 minutes and didn’t say half of what I was thinking about. I’m just so grateful to have a program now that’s actually thinking big and is not letting our history stand in the way from going places no one else in the country thinks we can.

I truly believe in this staff, and our players are working as hard as any other big time program now because they believe also. What a unbelievable time this is to be a Cats fan. It’s just the beginning of what some of us have dreamed about a long time and it’s finally attainable!!

Here’s to another great year, and to all the good times we are going to have talking about our Cats this year.

GREAT post! BBN needs to bottle this excitement. As soon as tough moments hit, a lot of fairweather fans tend to gravitate back to that pessimistic point of view. Every team has times that are trying during every season. Our Cats are beginning to show how resilient they are and that is a reflection of our phenomenal Head Coach. I love where we are now too, and I am even more excited about where we are headed! Tee that ball up and let’s kick off the season already!!!!!

Very well said. I hope it gets more people on board. People havent seen anything like this in Lexington and have no idea what we’ve been looking at for a few years and how to take it just yet. Hard to be patient, but conversations like that can help make it worthwhile

Hey guys. Yeah I’ve been pretty busy the last couple months and still read a lot but haven’t posted much. Anyway, I’m getting that feeling again and couldn’t help it. Lol.

Can’t wait till kickoff and see all the improvements this year. I’ve said for two years that 2020 was our first of many playoff teams and although I just thought we would win 9 last year, I’m glad I was off by one. Wooo!!

I’m only seeing two losses this year myself, and of course this is just my guess and opinion, but honestly, I think Georgia and either one of Mississippi St or Florida will be our only losses this year. Big time Bowl Win and recruiting getting to the top ten range.

Now we may just win 8 games total this year if some things work against us, but still would be a hell of another season and I’ll be tickled to death as long as we play as hard as I know they can and compete till the horn.

As Kentucky Football fans, We’ve been though more than most fans could ever imagine, they take 8-9 win seasons for granted and act like they deserve everything!! Well, WE are the fan base that’s waited and watched as our kids played as hard as anybody in the country but just didn’t have the same type talent.. That is changing now and Im as proud of the fans for never giving up hope, just as much as the young men playing.

If I don’t quit I’ll write a book. Lol. I’m just so happy about the direction Coach Stoops and the Staff is going and it’s close. Thing is we’ve already exceeded most everyone’s expectations, but once you get this close, might as well go all the way!!! Go Cats.

I’m right there with ya on everything buddy!! Except for one thing, I don’t have UGA down as a loss, and I’ll be making the trip to Athens to watch us stomp there a$$e$ on there home turf just like I did Florida last year!! I hope everyone that can make it will be there with me!
      BRING IT!! Go big blue!!!!!!

Carrington has that length that Stoops and the BBN love in the secondary. Excited for his announcement! That’s a dang good offer sheet
