Kentucky commit BJ Boston scores 41 points in China

Kentucky basketball commit BJ Boston is ready to take the high school basketball world by storm with national powerhouse Sierra Canyon next year, and his squad went international as a warm-up to prove just that.

Before their regular season begins in November, Sierra Canyon took a 12-day foreign trip to China this past week to take on some of the country’s top competition.

Loaded with a roster of Boston, along with 2020 five-star forward Ziaire Williams, LeBron James’ son, Bronny, and Dwyane Wade’s son, Zaire, among others, they packed the arena every time they took the floor.

While all of the attention was on Bronny and Zaire for popularity reasons alone, the 6-foot-6 Kentucky commit was the one who stole the show on the floor.

After sitting out the team’s first game, Boston dropped 16 points in game two before putting on a scoring clinic in game three, putting up a whopping 41 points in a blowout victory.

The future Wildcat even put up a picture of the scoreboard as evidence following the ridiculous performance, with the caption, “40 ball to end my China trip” added.

While highlights of the trip, specifically when it comes to Boston’s dominant scoring display, are extremely limited, we did get two quick clips of the future Wildcat from MarsReel’s official Instagram page.

The first? A behind-the-back pass from 2022 prospect Amari Bailey to Boston in transition for the slam.

Last week, ESPN released their updated recruiting rankings, with Boston coming in at No. 9 overall.

On 247Sports latest rankings, Boston fell one spot to No. 15 overall, listed as the No. 2 shooting guard in the nation.

While we’re on the subject, the future Wildcat’s latest EYBL highlights were released this week, and they’re mighty impressive.

Take a look here:

This kid is going to be a good one.

Pictures indicate the kid sure could stand to add a few pounds for the college game, but he certainly is smooth and quite a talent.

I’d also love to see around 20 more pounds on him, but as he is now, he’s smooth as can be and can take contact. I guarantee he and Cal have a plan for the weight so we’ll just have to see. He can flat out play and will possibly be our leading scorer.

He can score anywhere on floor plus create his own shot. Going to be a nice one no doubt.
