One of the nation’s top point guards is committing to a college this afternoon.

Kennedy Chandler revealed this morning that he will appear on ESPN’s SportsCenter and Instagram Live this afternoon at approximately 1 pm ET to share where he will attend college next year. Duke, Kentucky, Memphis, North Carolina and Tennessee are Chandler’s five finalists.

The second-ranked point guard in America, and No. 19 player overall according to 247 Sports, will almost certainly select Tennessee. The Memphis native unofficially visited Kentucky’s campus prior to the pandemic. Even so, the Vols have been Chandler’s long-time leader. What is it about Rick Barnes and Knoxville that is so appealing, I will never understand.

If Chandler does not pick Tennessee, fantastic. If he does become a Vol, the BBN will take glee every time the Wildcats hand him an L.

UT has great Assistant Coaches/Recruiters now. Didn’t they have two Assistants on the list that named Kenny Payne one of the Top 10 Assistants? Maybe Cal should have hired one of them instead of Bruiser.

I’m not crazy about the Flint hire either but you have to allow time for things to develop.
