Keldon Johnson, Tyler Herro named to Jordan Brand Classic

Another day, another accolade for Kentucky’s 2018 signees. Keldon Johnson and Tyler Herro were just named to the Jordan Brand Classic, which takes place April 8 at the Barclays Center in New York.

Immanuel Quickley, who will participate in the McDonald’s All-American game with Johnson on March 28, did not make the roster. It’s worth noting that Quickley played on the adidas AAU circuit, which may be why he also didn’t make the Nike Hoop Summit, while Johnson and Herro, who played on the Nike EYBL circuit, did.

Here’s the complete Jordan Brand Classic roster:

After seeing the rosters, it definitely feels as though Coach K had his hand in making sure all his Duke players were on the same team. He realizes they need all the time they can get to mesh together.

Watched a few game videos of Herro. Wisconsin HS competition looked a little weak, but one thing did stand out. This kid looks to be a more pure jump shooter than anybody on current UK roster. Whether he can continue to do that at SEC level….we will see.
