Here’s an interesting story out of the SEC West:
Out in Arkansas, Razorback head coach Chad Morris suspended two of his players for fraternizing with the Mississippi State spirit squad. An Arkansas radio host and former player said he saw defensive backs Kamren Curl and Ryan Pulley chatting and taking pictures with female Mississippi State spirit squad members before the Razorbacks’ 52-6 loss in Starkville on Saturday.
Today, Coach Morris called the behavior “completely unacceptable” and suspended Curl and Pulley from the team before the final game.
Arkansas is 2-9 this season, which probably played a small role in Morris’ frustration. You can’t be flirting with cheerleaders before kickoff and then go on to lose by 46. You have to win in that scenario. Alabama players can flirt with opposing cheerleaders. I’ll even say Alabama players can flirt with the opposing players’ moms. But if you’re Arkansas, you shouldn’t be allowed to talk to your own team’s cheerleaders until you stop sucking.
