Kentucky’s top-ranked commit is returning to the Bluegrass to watch the Wildcats take on the Tennessee Volunteers.

Five-star defensive tackle Justin Rogers revealed on Twitter that he will be in Lexington this weekend along with another UK commit from the state of Michigan, wide receiver Earnest Sanders.

Kroger Field’s recruiting room will be crowded Saturday night. Former Auburn quarterback and top-40 overall prospect Joey Gatewood will be in the building. Josh Edwards reports four-star defensive end and Knoxville native Tyler Baron is also traveling to Lexington to watch the matchup between two of his top three schools.

Those are just a few of the big names that will be at UK’s final marquee recruiting game day event. Friday afternoon I’ll provide a complete list of the targets expected to be in town. There are now only six weeks until the start of the early signing period.

Maybe Tyler Baron can just happen to meet Josh Allen while they’re both on campus.

Nick, would a Gatewood commitment impact Beau Allen at all?

Gatewood is transferring bc he wants to start. However, allen will RS next year and Gatewood would sit out also. They both would be eligible to play after that. Allen would have 4 years eligibility and Gatewood 2 years. I dont think it impacts Allen bc he would still be able to see 2 years as a starter in the SEC and those would be 2 years as an experienced back up. Plus Gatewood is true duel threat. The coaching staff could point to Terry W and say you never know when u will be QB1.

In the end, the best talent will win out. If we get Gatewood I would be shocked if he didnt get the start just based off hos rushing ability and our recent success with Lynn Bow at QB

I’m thinking Rogers has been asked to come in and help recruit these guys.

I am guessing that is the main reason Josh Allen is coming to the game, much more of an impact on all the guys who are visiting.
