Training camps are off and running in the National Football League and Josh Allen is getting after it in Sacksonville. Slowly but surely, practice reports, quotes, and highlight videos are now becoming available with the football season slowly approaching. Even Jacksonville’s top two picks are going at it on the practice field.

Expectations are high for the pass rusher in his rookie season, but right now the biggest news is involving his rookie contract. In a rare case, per Mike Florio at Pro Football Talk, Josh Allen was the only draft pick to avoid off-set language in his first deal. What that essentially means is that his rookie deal is fully guaranteed. With off-set language, teams are given power in case a player is released or cut. So that is big news in a sport where injuries are so relevant.

Count this as a win for Josh Allen’s agent. More than likely, it is not going to matter to the Jags or the player in the long run. Both are all in. Josh Allen is set to become a cornerstone of the Jacksonville defense for the next decade. The former All-American will be a rich man for the entire length of his rookie deal. Cheers to you, Josh.
