The Jacksonville Jaguars are already struggling on defense and the loss of their premier defensive end isn’t going to help the issue.

Former Wildcat Josh Allen is listed as inactive for Sunday’s matchup against the Detroit Lions with a knee injury. This will be the second consecutive outing that Allen sits out for as he was on the sidelines for last week’s loss to the Houston Texans.

Allen, who was the seventh overall pick back in the 2019 NFL Draft, has recorded two sacks and four solo tackles in four games played this season. He was limited in practice throughout the week but ultimately sat out of Friday’s practice and won’t suit up on Sunday as a result. Jacksonville’s defense allows 136.6 rushing yards per game, 26th worst among all 32 teams.
