John Calipari’s recruiting tour of America continues. According to Corey Evans, Cal will be in Austin, Texas today to check in on 2020 top ten prospect Greg Brown.

Brown is considered the top power forward in the 2020 class and has Kentucky in his top five along with Texas, Memphis, North Carolina, and Auburn. He earned an offer from Calipari last month and will take an official visit to Lexington January 10-12. Here’s how 247 Sports Director of Basketball Scouting Jerry Meyer describes his game:

“Long and freakily athletic. Runs like the wind. Needs to physically fill out. Terrific finisher in transition. Quick straight-line driver in half court. Jump shot progressing and has potential. Shot blocker with defensive versatility. Shaky ballhandler. Has tremendous upside that could place him in lottery at the draft.”

Watch Brown’s highlights below, or catch up on who else Calipari’s visited this week in Jack’s feature from yesterday.

That kind of energy and athleticism can always find a way to contribute. I think that Todd is a better overall prospect, hands down, but they could certainly play together, and as we all know we need at least 3 bigs. The Todd situation seems to be getting shakier, in any case. Sign him up!
