Tonight John Calipari is in Chattanooga, Tennessee to see four-star shooting guard Shai Alexander.
The No. 43 player in the class of 2017 recently entered Calipari’s radar. He decommitted from Mike White’s Gators on October 17th. One week later, Joel Justus stopped by, followed tonight’s Halloween appearance from the Kentucky head coach. The visits have helped in the eyes of recruiting experts. Kentucky currently holds a 79 to 21 percent advantage over Florida in the 247 Crystal Ball. Kansas, Oklahoma and N.C. State are also potential destinations.
Even though the Cats are fairly new to the scene, Alexander could become their most important recruit. Once a sure thing, John Petty appears to be leaning toward Alabama. Lonnie Walker and Hamidou Diallo are still options in the backcourt, but their status remains uncertain. The former Florida commit could fill the void. Watch him do work:
