Jaylen Brown is the No. 1 player in the new Scout.com rankings

247Sports

The good people over at Scout.com released their updated rankings for the 2015 basketball recruiting class and Jaylen Brown, the star of this summer’s AAU circuit, moved up to the top spot. Brown jumpedĀ up from No. 4 to take the spot away from Diamond Stone, who fell to fourth behind Brown, Ben Simmons, and Skal Labissiere.

Charles Matthews, the lone UK commit in the class, dropped down to No. 61.

And there’s a good chance we get him.

Louisville on the other hand got the, haha, #23 PF, and look! Hahaha, the #13 SF hahaha! And the #27 SG!!! Watch out!

“Deng Adel is gonna be a beast – if he doesn’t get redshirted.”
“Donovan Mitchell is better than LeBron. I hope he’s eligible.”

The SEC Network premiere is on with Brent Boringberger.

Why exactly is the SEC Network based in Charlotte, one of the only southern states with no SEC school?

Maybe cal jumped the gun on offering Mathews. I know its just one site, but he keeps dropping in all of them. He needs to step it up or decommit.

Derek Willis also dropped- even further in fact. I think he’ll be fine. I mean, he committed to UK not UofL (the future Dominican national team).

Look for Brown to go to UCLA. Says he will attend a Adidas school.

Strong possibility he goes to an Adidas school. That being said, he has never once said what you just claimed he said.

If these high school players are watching what UK is doing in the Bahamas with the basketball team visiting with Samaritan, I hope that they appreciate that Coach Cal is building character, humility and spiritual development in players while teaching them the extraordinary power of teamwork and is only using basketball as the means. This man is simply an unequaled genius; he gets management, human behavior and marketing better than anyone I have ever observed. High school players that have the option should not miss an opportunity to spend one, two, three or four years learning from him on a day-to-day basis. I wish that this opportunity for experiential learning with Cal could be shared with hundreds and thousands of young people, not just a select few. Others may match him in teaching basketball, but the more subtle things that he is teaching is unmatched in athletics, business and education. Speculation that he will leave to coach a pro team entirely misses what this extraordinary man has become.

UK needs Matthews to decommit. If you are going to recruit a 50-100 kid, make him a Kentucky kid.
