Jared Casey decommited from Oregon, back on UK’s board

There is some big news on the UK football front regarding an in-state prospect who is having second thoughts about leaving the Bluegrass.

According to Justin Rowland over at CatsIllustrated.com, four-star linebacker Jared Casey has de-committed from Oregon, only one day removed from an in-home visit with the Kentucky coaching staff. The Louisville Ballard star hosted Vince Marrow, Brad White and Matt House in Louisville on Monday.

Casey committed to Oregon over Kentucky, Louisville and Wisconsin back in October. The de-commitment doesn’t necessarily mean he will flip to the Cats, but it’s certainly a positive step in that direction.

Cata646, what’s up buddy? I’ve had a good feeling about this kid for a year now!! I still did, even when he picked Oregon! Him and JJ just seem like they fit Kentucky right now. Going to be fun to watch these guys develop the next couple years, for sure.

Hopefully he will meet cats646’s standards and we don’t have to read that he “sucks d!cks”, his words for Gunnar Hoak.

Or this could be tied to Brohm taking the U of L job.

Right after stoops and marrow visit?

After reading a few comment threads on Card Chronicle after the rather lopsided UK victory- I would venture that their vocal fanbase is about 70/30 that Brohm is not coming.

The temporal relationship with the UK visit seems to bode well for Kentucky.

Wooohoooo. Cats all the way for this guy. I had a feeling when he committed, he was happy about it. This is one of my , favorite guys we’ve recruited Were starting to really become, a legit Football program. This kid will be a beast in a couple years at the UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY. LMAO.

Brad white? I already know what the pitch was. “Josh Allen” that is it! Brad helped Josh get to where he is at and maximize his performance. Allen has even said that White was a genius and helped him develop pro level moves. I just hope Stoops can hang on to him.

This sounds good. Stoops>Cal in recruiting. What will it take for Marrow to help Cal in recruiting?

Come on home you’ll fit right in and become a home state legend. As far as Brad White pay him what it would take to make sure he stays put.

Love having in state guys, but this guy is not special. Come in work hard, see what happens, but don’t think we are getting a steal.

All is fair in football recruiting and war. You have to play the game if you want to win it.

Is there room for both him and Weaver? I’d say so but was just wondering. Both are four star defensive guys so i dont see them being turned down. Hope we get them both. Would be huge for recruiting.
