James Wiseman is arguably Kentucky’s most coveted recruit in the 2019 class, and according to a new report, he will visit Lexington next month.
At the Adidas Summer Championships in Los Angeles, Wiseman told 247 Sports he’s planning a trip to Lexington in August:
“The atmosphere, the environment up there, just everything,” Wiseman said of what he’ll be looking for on his return trip to Lexington, which will likely be an unofficial visit. “Coach Calipari is a legendary coach. He puts a lot of players in the NBA.”
Yes, he does. Over the weekend, Wiseman finally admitted Kentucky and Memphis are his top two schools, and both John Calipari and Penny Hardaway have been keeping a close eye on him during the July recruiting period. Wiseman sat out last night’s game, but here are his highlights from Wednesday:

Aaron Torres was in the building for that game, and after seeing Wiseman in person, said there is no doubt he’s the best player in high school basketball right now:
We’re hearing it’s pretty much a dead heat between Memphis and Kentucky for the No. 1 center in the 2019 class, which makes the fact that he’s coming to Lexington soon very, very good news for Calipari.
