James Ramsey resigns from the UofL Foundation
Take heart, Louisville trolls and fans of justice across this great state: the reign of James Ramsey is over. This morning, the former UofL president finally resigned as president of the UofL Foundation, the true center of corruption on Floyd Street. His resignation is effective today, and marks the official end of his role with the University. According to Joe Sonka, Ramsey received no payout and there was no opposition to the decision.

Based on some of the comments I’ve seen about how UK should have hired Petrino, I won’t be surprised to see people wanting him to come to Kentucky now.

Painful as losing is, I would rather lose with Stoops than win with Petrino and that whole bunch at the U of L administration. You should be able to respect a program for the people as well as winning. Petrino likely would have done to us what he did with multiple other programs – run off and left it in shambles. Huge numbers of the U of L football team had to be kicked off after his last tenure there leaving Kragthorpe in the dust.
The ONLY news the nation will hear tomorrow (outside the KSR bubble) is whether or not Louisville can make it to the national playoffs this year. That is what Petrino has done!! The only mention of Ky you will ever hear from this point forward is concerning coaches on the hot seat for having losing programs. Which news are the recruits going to listen to?
I understand where you are coming from mr paw. players would want to play for a team competing for conference titles and being ranked and all that. my son is 12 and he isn’t D-1 material but if he was, there would be no way as a parent I would want him playing for a man with the moral compass of petrino. There are many views of how many 2nd, 3rd, even 4th chances a person should get but after repeated offenses to show that he is an individual that should not be trusted in anyway, I’ll take another losing season over that any day.

Well Hallelujah! Maybe U of L can hire someone who won’t ignore the embezzlement of millions of our tax dollars this time.
Don’t get me wrong I want to win and I’m not saying stoops is the answer and will take us to a bowl any time soon. But the win at all costs is not something I can get on board with and I’m thankful that the university hasn’t adopted that moto.

I think it is a prerequisite at Louisville. You either have to have had a sex scandal in your past, or you have to promise to be involved in one within 3 years of your hiring date.
I now respect Mr. Ramsey. This is how a real man acts. One positive action can erase a good amount of negative. Hats off to him.
UofL fans (namely Cats Paw) might want to calm down; all this winning and success in football might make Petrino leave for a relevant football program…
