J.T. Poston wins the PGA Tour Wyndham Championship with former KSR writer and now caddy, Aaron Fleener!

Not only did Poston win the tournament -22 under par, but Flener was also seen wearing his Jared Lorenzen Memorial Hat. What a day for Poston as he grabs his first PGA Tour Championship! Also, according to Golf Digest, Poston is the first winner to go bogey-free for 72-straight holes since 1974.

Poston, who went to college at Western Carolina University, told the Winston-Salem Journal on Saturday that winning in the state of North Carolina would the victory that much sweeter.

“It would be awesome,” Poston said. “Any win out here would be great, but to do it in North Carolina would mean even more. It would be also really cool to have my family and friends here and to have my grandfather here, who taught me to play the game.”

Here is the putt that sealed the victory!

Congrats to JT. That one was for you, Jared!

72 holes without a bogey is incredible. And I’m happy for Josh Teater who has had 3 top-13 finishes in the last 3 weeks; two of them T6 finishes. I know he wishes he could have a do-over for round 3, but that’s a nice way to end the season.

Crazy to think that Teater’s one bad round cost him about 1 million dollars. I don’t know how those guys handle that kind of pressure. I get nervous on the tee box when there are houses down the right side of the fairway. 🙂

I know right. Teater could’ve been right there at the top of the leaderboard. No use in dwelling on it. He could think, man, it actually could’ve been much worse. Those guys are so mechanical at this point that nothing much is nerve-wracking to them.

Meeks… your ball isn’t going anywhere near those houses… if so it’ll b there back yard, trust me

And the occasional duck hook makes me nervous to see houses down the left side
