Don’t look now but Kentucky’s favorite PGA golfer is off to a helluva start at the PGA Championship. J.B. Holmes shot -4 at Whistling Straits today, good enough for tied for third at time of this post. Holmes had seven birdies on the day including five out of six holes from No. 10-15, which set the tone for his day. There are still groups playing, some of which are still on the front nine, but Holmes is bunched with six other golfers – including some guy with the name Matt Jones (no wonder he’s not responding to my texts) at four under par.

Best of luck to J.B. tomorrow as he’ll be one of the later tee offs on Friday.

Bobby – just some information on the set-up on golf tournaments. The first two days, those who go off in the morning, the next day go off in the afternoon, and vice versa. It’s only on the final two days your position affects your tee time. But nice try, way to go.
