J.B. Holmes bogeys last five holes at Augusta

Thursday got off to a great start for J.B. Holmes at the Masters.

The Kentuckian, a UK grad, held a share of the lead early in the morning after birdieing two of his first three holes on the day.

Things would get much, much, much worse on the back nine, though, as he bogeyed six of the last nine holes, including the last five, for a 42 on that side. That brought his first-round total to a 78 and put him in a tie for 85th place as I type this.

But hey, it could be worse. At least he’s not in Dustin Johnson’s shoes right now.
