It’s Decision Day for Julius Randle, who will announce his basketball plans later today in a press conference at 1:30 pm. Of course, KSR will be off the air before Randle goes public with his decision, but I think we all know what he will ultimately decide.

On this morning’s edition of Kentucky Sports Radio radio, Matt and Ryan will discuss Randle’s future and the futures of his teammates, plus a big commitment for Kentucky football and several other tidbits from around BBN.

Join in on the fun by calling (502) 571-1080.

If we could just get one stud like Davis or Randle to stay for two years… but then im sure they would rather get rich than be a UK legend.

I get tired of this sort of stuff…let’s turn it around. Goose, will you give up several million dollars to be a Legend @ UK, so that I may think well of you?

If you wouldn’t do that, why should Randle?

Fans amaze me in demanding things of “their” players that they wouldn’t do themselves!

How do Randle’s turnovers compare? If the other team scores 3-4 points a game off his turnovers then that negates some of his own points.

I agree with Matt’s original assertion though.

My memory of Julius Randle is how many times he got burned on team defense but that is only because he was learning. The kid was a beast, he was hammered all year and rarely let his emotions get the better of him. By the end of the year he was hustling more than anyone else on the team. How many times during the tourney did he get on the floor to get a ball and give UK an extra possession. I wish Julius Mandle the best!

  32. MattD

My brother, who is not a UK fan, says “cramps” when I ask him what he thinks about when I say Julius Randle. It might not be the first thing I would say, I’d say double-doubles. However, I definitely see where Ryan is coming from, that UK game, him not playing is very memorable.

Towns has NBA 3-pt range. He’ll play however Cal tells him to play, but he can definitely stretch the D out farther than the free throw line – with ease and consistency.

If a kids descision to leave early centers on whether he will lose playing time next year, what makes them think they can play in the NBA? If they can’t get in the lineup at UK they def can’t play in the league!

Like the Harrison Twins – Bill Simmons and Jalen Rose are a package deal. I hope they don’t shutdown Grantland when Cal hires them.

Matt . . have a question. . . if the twins are in Texas, aren’t they supposed to be in school until the end of the semester? Don’t they have to finish out their academics regardless of whether or not they decide to turn pro?

Any possibility Cal tries to move Marcus Lee to the small forward position?? He has the athleticism just needs to learn a jump shot and how to dribble, a lot to learn but it would benefit him a lot.

Good lord Matt… Gotta turn off the show for today. You’re a bit too high and mighty for me today. Ryan made a normal point there and you again put yourself on a pedestal to make fun of him. The show is typically great, but you’ve got to stay grounded with the increased success man.
