It’s a TIE between Frosted Flakes and Lucky Charms! We need YOU to crown the Cereal Champion!

Screen Shot 2015-06-19 at 12.16.13 PM

Today’s show was a summer classic. In between all the football and basketball recruiting news, Matt, Ryan, Shannon and Maria went through the bracket to determine the KSR Cereal Champion. The Final Four? Frosted Flakes, Captain Crunch, Honey Nut Cheerios, and Lucky Charms. The final came down to Frosted Flakes and Lucky Charms, but the vote was split! Even going to the phones didn’t break the tie.

So now, it’s up to you guys. Vote in the poll below for your favorite: FROSTED FLAKES or LUCKY CHARMS.

Check out the complete bracket below:

Listen to the podcast for the full breakdown and debate. In my opinion, Frosted Mini Wheats totally got robbed.

Raisin Bran over Fruity Pebbles… Not in a million years

Golden Grahams got robbed at a 6 seed. Easily a 3, arguably a 2 when soggy.

Agreed. Looks like they canvassed the local kindergartens for these results. Should’ve been Golden Grahams vs Raisin Bran for the trophy.

Golden Crisp…or as us oldsters like to call them..Super Sugar Crisp. Is the best!! They are sweet, they do not get soggy and they sweeten the milk left in the bowl….and as an added bonus they are filling enough to have for dinner. “Can’t get enough of those Super Sugar Crisp… keep me going strong.”

Frosted Flakes, like Wheaties and Corn Flakes get soggy very quickly..nasty!! Lucky Charms are half delicious marshmallow and half cardboard. …what kind of cereal is that?

Lucky Charms? Seriously? That stuff is gawd awful. I totally agree with the post above. Cardboard marshmallows….yuck! Fruit Loops is some of the best ever – how does Lucky Charms beat Fruit Loops??? But yea- Golden Crisp gets my vote as best ever too.

Frosted Flakes by MILE over Lucky Charms!

Frosted Flakes are not magically delicious, therefore, Lucky Charms gets my vote for best.

As an added plus, Golden Crisp makes your urine smell identical to the cereal and very weird immediately after you eat them.

You sir are very much correct! It is an odd outcome for such a product but sure enough it’ll make your pee smell exactly like the cereal!

    • The plain unsweeted puffed wheat does the same thing. It really is weird that a food with not that strong a smell does that.

I’ve never noticed the odor after eating them, I’ll have to start paying more attention. I read an article that with asparagus some people get the smell and some don’t, maybe it’s the same with Golden Crisp.

    • Unsweetened that is…

You guys need to cut the sugar and carbs. That stuff clogs your arteries and rusts your pipes.

I demand a recount. The chads were hanging up on the ballot box and caused the Flash plugin to crash. There is no way that CTC lost to lucky charms.

I agree with LA, Lucky Charms are magically delicious! I lived off them and beer for a full week down in Panama for spring break one year.

this is a sham. cinnamon toast crunch is easily the best cereal in the tourney. lightyears ahead of lucky charms anyways.

Lucky Charms are what evil must taste like. Gross.

CTC has the distinction of cross-generational appeal.. Six-year olds love it, as well as people into their sixties. There is minimal stigma attached to buying a box of CTC when you are in retirement. On the other hand, buying a bottle of Crown and a box of Lucky Charms will garner you odd looks at the checkout…probably both for your choice of cereal and liquor.

Corn flakes – the duke of cereal. Are you kidding me with a #1 seed!?! There is no way they deserved getting in that high. And then they choked in the first round!

The selection committee jacked Apple Jacks, though. No way did they deserve anything lower than a 2 seed.

Frosted Mini Wheats absolutely got robbed.
As did CTC (should’ve been the winner) and Golden Grahams.
