Party it should be but I will slow my roll with the Grove Street edition.
We can win this game and it can be a major step forward for the program. Will require our D to play as well or better than in the FL game and obviously a huge upgrade in our offensive production with a huge game from the O-line, PT, our receivers and Dawson”s play calling.

Shall remain optimistic : Cats by 6.

There is no excuse for what those 2 players did. It is a horrible state when “Cause my coach told me to” is excuse for assault.

Completely agree. I guess if you get caught on tape murdering someone just tell the judge that your coach told you to do it and you will be fine.

what kills me about the whole thing is they were so obvious about it. Run a reverse or something so that players are moving sideways in the backfield, then hit the guy… don’t just run up and lay into him.

Yeah, think I would be riding the pine or dismissed from the team before doing something this egregious and asinine.

On one hand I can understand that a coach would have a lot of influence on younger players, but they still had to have known that such a request was was heinous and should have either said no, or at least have gone to the head coach to talk to him about it.

elkcity, this is a little different than murder. the 2 players are being punished, they were suspended from school, kicked off the football team, and have been shamed nationally. I think you all forget how impressionable you were when you were 16. at the end of a football game where you are already in a physical emotional state and then an authority figure tells you to hit a referee? I would like to think that I wouldn’t do it but that is also because I was raised a certain way, we don’t know where these kids came from. they aren’t without fault, and they are paying their price.

@Matt, I am pretty sure the two kids have been allowed to play again.

Matt is very gifted at interviewing just about anyone. Almost never an awkward moment when he has a guest on no matter how unrelated to Ky sports.

It would be the best thing ever if someone could get Andy Barr to say something about the nose whistle.
