Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

It’s a packed house at All Sports in Lexington (Thursday Show Thread)

@richardson_UK

After visiting 24 affiliates across the entire state of Kentucky, the Kentucky Sports Radio tour is now down to its last two stops: Lexington and Louisville. Today’s show is coming to you live from All Sports in Fayette Mall in Lexington and the guys have a big morning lined up for our listeners.

It all picks up with Mark Stoops in the building at 10:30 am, before new UK assistant basketball coach “Slice” Rohrssen makes his first KSR appearance, in person, at All Sports.

And if that’s not enough to get you out to the mall, the last two remaining games in the UK ticket giveaway are the Louisville and UCLA games. Someone in the building will walk out with two tickets to one of those games, while another fan earns one of the final spots in the Bahamas drawing.

Or you can join in on the fun by calling (502) 571-1080.

    Honestly I’m not too surprised we had to return 2500 tickets to the U of L game. Until that game means something (i.e. a trip to a warm weather bowl game) I think a lot of people will choose to watch that game with their recliner, HD TV, and left over turkey over paying 80 dollars to watch it in the cold.

      UK had to return 2500 tickets in an already small stadium? Shaking my head. I thought the BBN was big. #WhyNot?

    With Ryan living in Lexington, the Lexington Police department should be well funded.

    One of the Lexington or Louisville TV stations had a picture on the website last night of some officers holding a rubber alligator.
    Facts not optional. 😀

    The Alligator was a fake. This was reported on WLEX and the local paper this morning.

    I guess since the Loch Ness beast in Lake Herrington didn’t pan out, we have to settle for a migrant ‘gator. The orange color must be some slime he picked up in Tn on the way here.

    Worked in the air freight industry for 25 years in Lexington, not for Emery. At a national convention about 15 years ago, I met this guy and once he found out I was from Lexington, he said I got to tell you the real story behind the Emery deal. This guy was a regional manager with Emery in 1988.

    The UK office typed the wrong address on the envelope, transposed the numbers. That address didn’t exist, so it was protocol to return it to the terminal. 2 managers were required as witnesses to open the envelope in hopes that the correct address was inside the envelope. The managers opened the envelope and saw the cash along with the video. They photographed the cash and found the correct address inside. The package was sealed up and sent out to the correct address with the cash inside. Just think, if the address was correct in the first place, Pitino or Calipari may never coached at UK. A driver in the terminal had a brother who was a sportswriter for a local Los Angeles newspaper, so this is how the story grew.

    Matt Jones picks out blank papers or only puts pieces in for the games he wants. That’s why good games are always saved for Lexington and Louisville.
