It won’t be just Calipari visiting Tyrese Maxey

It won’t be just John Calipari checking in with five-star 2019 guard Tyrese Maxey. Corey Evans of Rivals.com is reporting the Maxey family will host three other schools this weekend.

What’s also interesting is how Calipari will return to visit Maxey after checking out the 6-foot-4, 185-pound Garland, Texas native. UK was in just last night to see him. That’s when Maxey told SEC Country’s Kyle Tucker that UK is looking to add him for next season and he was open to reclassifying.

“Me and Coach Cal have talked about [reclassifying] multiple times,” Maxey told Tucker. “He’s just saying it would be a great opportunity for me to be a part of this special team that he’s building for next season.”

Remember, Maxey’s father is on staff at SMU. It appears the Mustangs may not be the threat many assumed early in the process.

One thing to keep an eye on is now that Maxey has said publicly he’s open to reclassifying, you better believe Texas, Michigan and MSU will also push to add the the Brandon Knight like guard to their rosters for next season, too.

Calipari is also planning on seeing Scottie Lewis, Bryan Antoine and Vernon Carey. Sounds like Calipari is with #TeamNoSleep.

The pitch was to join super team, I can’t see a super team in any of those schools

It must be excruciating for Izzo to have to face someone’s mother or grandmother right now.

Absolutely. I think he’s gonna strike out on a lot of guys.

I honestly think he should’ve been fired 2 or 3 months ago when the first wave of these allegations came out.

I believe Calipari always knows what he’s doing, but i really hope we don’t lose Quade in the process of this.

Me too; Quade is the elusive 4 year player bringing valuable experience, and a damn good one.

Green should have played D a little better and he wouldn’t be worried about it

That has nothing to do with Calipari recruiting 6 guards at once lol
